SIAP: Aaron Bradshaw fractures foot

My estimated dates of recovery as reported by Calipari

December 1st - "today was his first day back at practice so we're hopeful he'll be ready by the end of the month"

January 1st - "still working him into the offense - he still doesn't know any of the plays"

February 1st - "haven't seen him"

March 1st - "I'm obviously not just going to throw him out there at this point of the season. He's decided to come back and lead our team next year"

May 1st - "so happy for Aaron and his family setting out for his bright future in professional basketball"
That’s about how it usually goes. Cal will have achieved his goal of getting him to the NBA. Shouldn’t we be supportive? SMDH

Good new for the Cal haters. He’s likely gone now after the season.
Cal WON'T walk away from $40 million more!!! He is here doing crap like this for at least 3 more seasons!!! Thanks Mitch!!!

He will spin it as a positive until it's obvious Bradshaw NEVER suits up for UK. But, we may get to watch him "warmup in the pregame" by January.

Man, I am SOOOOOOOOOOO sick of Cal!!!!!

Calipari's done an incredible job lowering the bar here at UK. He's desecrating everything this program stands for, and spitting in the fact of our entire tradition.

We're going on four straight years where UK doesn't make it past the first weekend.

Think about that, gentlemen.

Get Johnny Clam Chowder out of Lexington and do it by next Spring, Mitch!

Cal needs to make a statement because it’s bs that we have to hear this shit from “insiders”. Bro is literally practicing on a fractured foot and they expect us to believe this shit? Come on……
I highly doubt he has the courage, let alone the maturity, to do such a thing. I'm wondering if he'll even finish out the season at this point.

This is commonplace at UK now.

Sharpe took NIL money and never dribbled in a game. Even when Uk had two guards injured, and he was needed desperately. His selfishness became a distraction and derailed the end of the 2021-22 season.

This past season Wheeler quit on the team. Didn’t even want to be there for senior night. His family didn’t show either, which told us the real truth. This led to more drama and a late season collapse in ‘23.

It’s simple guys, Cal has zero control of the program. Many were saying Bradshaw was hurt, so why didn’t it get evaluated sooner and repaired already? No… no. This way Cal has a built in excuse… again… when Bradshaw doesn’t play and is slow to heal. Bradshaw will never suit up as a Wildcat. We all know it too!

All season people will be shown the bench and Bradshaw sitting there. ESPN and others will talk about what a difference he would be making.

I hope people are prepared for this season.

It’s likely going to be awful.

Losses to even the likes of rebuilding UL won’t be out of the question.

If you think Cal put the La Familia NIL collective together to save UK basketball, then I’m sorry to inform you of its real purpose. The real purpose is to preserve Cal. Next year when people are demanding he be fired, then he will dangle the NIL in their face and threaten that it won’t be funded if he’s fired. It’s a negotiating tactic for his job security… not because he cares about UK.

If you’re defending Cal at this point, then God help you!

In 2009 when cal started I was 8, I remember a Memphis fan said that whenever cal leaves somewhere he leaves the place in ruins and destroys the program, this is starting to fell like the beginning of the end
Cal is responsible for injuries now? LOL. You may feel this way, but this thread is not where you voice it like it was the last straw. Hilarious.

Yeah. I know it isn't exactly on par with being a garbage coach. But, I was very shocked that he didn't even show up the last day of HIS overnight camp to hand out awards and see the campers off. It's just another example of his complete and total disconnect with the fanbase.
That's just crap. Can't even show up for an hour? Minus an emergency, that's Ridiculous.

For anyone who doesn't understand what is happening/is too dumb or up Cals ass to understand.

Bradshaw has had this injury, people around him and the program knew he had this injury and it was quieted and downplayed by Klutch. He did workouts and pro day type activities organized by Klutch to quiet the chatter. This allows him to have a Sharpe type year but with a "valid" reason while collecting NIL.

I personally believe he was never going to USC but used it as leverage for NIL all while they knew he wouldn't be playing at UK.

Edit: Go back to when Somto chatter begin to figure out when UK knew the injury was serious. Seems odd that Bradshaw and Klutch didn't want Dickenson but were fine with Somto? That's because at that point he isn't playing this year.

He is Responsible for terrible roster construction year in and year out, he is responsible for his shit offense and he is responsible never prioritizing shooting and floor spacing. Injuries are not his fault but acting like he doesn’t see it coming when it happens to him every year and having a short handed roster are in his control team

I’m just tired, Kentucky basketball feels like a year long custody battle between parents with no real solution that benefits everybody. It’s always drama and never serious basketball stuff. Our coach is set on 1990s. It may be time to go watch Kentucky football
This.

We are in the late stage of divorce where we're just staying together for the kids (this incoming class).

IT sucks and no one is truly happy.

If it wasn’t so maddening it would almost be funny.

Man, if this was Duke or KU or UNC we would be laughing our asses off.

That second sentence sounds like something someone would say that was pretending to be a UK fan while slipping in things that made us look like idiots...........

I know you drink the Cal Kool-Aid down as well as anyone here, but Cal has no contingency plan at all for the 4 spot.

You do understand that he's responsible for that, right? That's why our fans are pissed. Plus we know Cal's been allowing Klutch to have an influence over our program, and our fans understand that there's a good chance that Bradshaw never sees the court at UK as a result of Cal playing in the pigpen with Klutch.

So yeah, this is about much more than a foot injury. You're a smart guy. I thought you would have picked up on that already.

You guys remember how we used to have a coach in the 1990s who once told a former top 2 recruit and senior-to-be Rodrick Rhodes that he could redshirt to make room for Ron Mercer and Derek Anderson? In other words, a coach who put the team's priority of WINNING ahead of the needs of individual players?

Yeah, seems like a long time ago now doesn't it?
BUT, CAL HAS A BETTER W/L RECORD VS PITINO WHEN PITINO WAS AT UOFLOL AND CAL AT UK! DERP!

Yea this offseason has been long and full of bad news . It feels like we have had a full year worth of bad news and the season only ended in March .

Agreed. My son said he showed up each day here and there. Took a few pics and signed some stuff. BUT, there was zero instruction or actual interaction.

It flew all over me. The players were in there the last day. Antigua was in there (incredibly nice guy), but Cal couldn't pull away for the 20 minutes it took to send the kids off.

There were roughly 200 kids there. It cost 575 per overnight camper. Right at 400 for those who got picked up daily. And to top it off, the camp was called JOHN CALIPARI overnight camp. Smh.

If we end up getting him because of this injury. Great job Aaron. Way to take one for the team!! You're not scared like Sharpe. We will see you mid December healthy.
We are Kentucky!!
"Being scared" had nothing to do with Sharpe not playing.

Good attempt at the deflection from Cal being responsible for that trash fire though. You're one of the better Calipari propagandists who still exists on this message board.
