Does this explain why we didn’t go after energy sanctions? It’s almost as if we knew what was about to happen and still proceeded. This was NOT on my radar -
And paying attention to what the money does - and where it goes IS important -
i believe the Biden admin just pinged congress with the preliminary assessment that $6.5 billion would be needed to support. — “the response” to Russia fighting in Ukraine
THINK i got that # right -
i need to look into the items you mentioned as well - thanks for the direction

Again, you’re making a straw man argument. If you don’t know what that is, it’s when you make an argument and attribute it to someone else as if they stated it.I think it’s weird that you have nothing to say about the absurd notion, repeated in this thread since the start, that being anti-Biden is the same as being pro-Putin.
Again: where was the “same team” from 2016-2020?
Is it strange that I do? And I believe the tech is finally right to move the plan faster than ever.Hey - good find right there , b2tb!
Ever get the feeling that the average citizen is just following a B-Movie plot ?
The thin and rapidly vanishing illusion that tells us we have power to change meaningful aspects of the system around us — will soon reveal the utterly foreign and surreal new world order & its Babylonian spiritual nature
The ones who have been practicing ancient outrages and vile crimes against the innocent - will have a period where they can openly flaunt and pursue their atrocities
I realize that’s one part vague and two parts non-actionable hyperbole —
But i feel like it has to be said & i am speaking fm conviction
Have.a good rest of the evening
They are holding a lot back though. A lot of soldiers sent in were weekend warriors only told they were being deployed a week ago. We also know they are capable of a lot more air power. They are hedging their bets for something.I just have to laugh at the russian army. What a paper tiger. Getting their asses kicked by some civilians.
Putin knows he can't level cities. Huge protest in Russia and some of their elected officials are even saying he's gone further that what they voted for.... protecting Donbas. If he drops bombs on Kyiv he might actually lose the next election. They are holding a lot back though. A lot of soldiers sent in were weekend warriors only told they were being deployed a week ago. The only military that could challenge the us is china IMO.Putin knows he can't level cities. “Election”. Hope all that is true but fear the Fuhror is past that. Stalin didn’t give a **** if he was popular. He just whacked the opposition.Putin knows he can't level cities. Several distribution customers reversed the flow of pipelines from Russia because it's cheaper to tap local storage and wells. This is from 2 months ago.We have the natural gas production now in the Marcellus Shale region of the Appalachians to be a net exporter of LNG to Europe. Just a few years ago local producers stopped producing natural gas in Marcellus for a while because the supply far outweighed the demand to the point that prices bottomed out and made production economically unviable. There's enough gas in North America to meet all of this continent's demands with enough left over for Europe.
The issue is that with the infrastructure and costs to ship LNG overseas, it's much cheaper for Europe to get energy from Russia. Putin is counting on that to continue, but hopefully he is wrong and Europe sees this as a chance to invest more heavily in nuclear and renewables while supplementing supply with US LNG.
But as you said, that won't happen overnight.
“Inadvertently” suurrrrreeeee. Dudes just committing war crimes left and right. In a perfect world he’d be held accountable. Unfortunately we don’t live in a perfect world.Russian cruise missiles inadvertently hit high rise
Will never believe we’re behind in anything after it was declassified we had stealth technology in like the 60’s and wasn’t revealed until the 80’s. We just don’t flaunt shit bc we live on a **** around and find out basis.Have some experience regarding HS development while i was in the 3 year “desert chapter”
Agreed. Sometimes its not about the vote but who counts the votes.“Election”. Hope all that is true but fear the Fuhror is past that. Stalin didn’t give a **** if he was popular. He just whacked the opposition.
The Missile Defense system in Alaska is one of the most impressive things that comes to mindWe definitely don’t show everything — but there are some pretty amazing platforms and technology that IS openly documented or have appeared in publicly accessible sources -
The HS pgm i was near had developmental struggles because it was a recently inherited Prime contract and so my company was diving in head first with great engineers and good supply chain options — but the attempt to reuse existing airframe designs and add specialized test reqs (RADHARD) contributed to delays in a successful flight test -
Not sure where that effort is now as i’m with a different Prime supporting a very different military customer
FWIW i think the weapons are rated as Hypersonic speed once they exceed MACH 5
(note Air Force MM3 ICBMs obtain MACH 17)

I agree with you except for the last statement….. Putin will do what he must to stay in power…. even to the point of canceling / suspending elections.Putin knows he can't level cities. Huge protest in Russia and some of their elected officials are even saying he's gone further that what they voted for.... protecting Donbas. Even with our newly woke troops, the US military would wipe the floor with Russia. The only military that could challenge the us is china IMO.
Then free countries will have to arm the Ukrainians. There is a limit to how long this can last. There simply is no way to control 41.5 million people with 200k troops. If just a few Ukrainians decide to kill a couple Russians every day then it quickly becomes a quagmire, yet there will be thousands of Ukrainians more than happy to kill Russians as soon as the initial smoke clears. Putin has to know this. Even being "successful" and killing/replacing the current Ukrainian Govt will be illegitimate and just infuriate the locals even more. This is like UL invading Lexington, it makes the people even madder to have their close neighbor the ones doing the occupying.
So, again, what is Putin really up to? He can't be this naive or this desperate. What is the end game?
While I would like to see Ukraine hold on and Putin give up, I just don't see that happening. I hope that is all he wants because if not and he is going for the Baltic states, I believe we will have to eventually get involved.I can see that happening, but I think Putin's goal here might really just be about Ukraine. He wants to bring them back into the Russian fold for their natural resources and to be able to control their oil and gas pipelines to western Europe.
He also doesn't want any chance of them joining the EU where Russian citizens might see some of the benefits Ukraine would enjoy thereby weakening his regime. He wants to install a pro-Russia puppet to lead Ukraine so that they will be too unstable for the EU or NATO to consider them for membership.
What is the long-term supply reality? By that I mean the sustainability to produce and continue supplying Europe as well as us going forward. We have the natural gas production now in the Marcellus Shale region of the Appalachians to be a net exporter of LNG to Europe. Just a few years ago local producers stopped producing natural gas in Marcellus for a while because the supply far outweighed the demand to the point that prices bottomed out and made production economically unviable. “I need ammunition, not a ride.”
It is almost as if it is a need to ignore the facts because well, he has nothing to look forward to other than more failures from the current admin. He needs to fall back on the lies they were fed during the Trump years.hahahahahaha still buying that bullshit I see
I certainly don’t want to diminish the bravery of the Ukrainian soldiers and citizenry, but I honestly wonder if the invading Russian soldiers are elite fighting units or just a group of second and third stringers.Even with our newly woke troops, the US military would wipe the floor with Russia.
No. The only way the rest of the world takes notice is if people refuse defeat. I hope the young people in this country who think socialism is a good form of government are taking notice. Some motivated folk here wanted early to show how imperfect Ukraine is, some seemingly to justify an ambivalence to Putin’s actions, but Ukrainians want to continue to move toward the ideal of the West, not back to tyranny. Would our citizenry have that free or die mentality that we once had?Currently having debate with myself of whether if it’s wrong to urge Ukrainians to fight if it means certain death. Would it be better to not fight and focus on insurgency? They will fight regardless out of pride. I’d fight for my homeland out of pride. I get it. But is it certain death and certain loss? I don’t know
