Russia - Ukraine WAR Warning: Political Discussions

I see two very big problems with that. Putin cannot afford to walk away with just a sliver of Ukraine in exchange for what they have already lost. If he does, then only a matter of time before he is overthrown. If he doesn't, I see no way out of this for Russia except to off Putin and claim it was all on him. That is the fastest and easiest way for them to recoup their loses, get out of sanctions for the most part, and start working on the corruption that obviously has gutted their military readiness. That is also how Russia has historically conducted business. Just like the mob. Once you make a mistake like this, expect the bullet behind the ear because they don't offer retirement plans. How long will it take the titanic financial losses to get somebody close enough to Putin or will they just finally be bold enough to walk right in and arrest him?

Second, Ukraine has already been burned badly by the Budapest Memorandum giving up their nukes in exchange for phony security agreements. I doubt they have the appetite for that again.
If he’s doing what the FSB want he live
If he’s losing his mind he die

Putin is the front man for the FSB. They run the show not the military. There’s no appetite with the FSB to westernize which is the pressure put by ukraine slipping west. If Putin isn’t deranged or suffering dementia the alternative to him may be worse. There are some serious nuts in government there. Especially the duma. Even Medvedev I do not trust.

What, Trump threatening to pull out of NATO not good enough for you? Could it have been us allowing Assad to remain in power in Syria, as requested by Russia? Maybe, just maybe, it was his wishes to ACTUALLY pull out of NATO if he was re-elected, per John Bolton. Just cause he fired him doesn’t mean he made that up. Some of the things people say Trump did he actually did.
Like when he stared at the solar eclipse without glasses. Like when he said Finland was part of Russia (lol).
Biden isn’t Reagan or JFK, but he’ll do. If you guys want Trump back so bad, let’s see if you still want him back in two years.

Liberal dishonesty has no bounds. You know he was negotiating the rest of NATO pay it’s fair share and was not going to actually pull out, but that’s another “bleach injection” moment for Liberals and they run with it for all it’s worth, shamelessly.

Ukraine Parliament member Sergiy Taruta said Thursday that "people are coming out alive" after a theater in the besieged eastern city of Mariupol was severely damaged Wednesday by a Russian military airstrike.
“After an awful night of not knowing, we finally have good news from Mariupol on the morning of the 22nd day of the war. The bomb shelter [of the theater] was able to hold. The rubble is beginning to be cleared," Taruta wrote on his Facebook page.
However, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s office says Russia has carried out further airstrikes on Mariupol this morning. There were no immediate reports of casualties.
“People are escaping from Mariupol by themselves using their own transport,” Zelenskyy’s office said, adding the “risk of death remains high” because of Russian forces previously firing on civilians.

Preventable how? And by who? And please don’t go on some party biased rant. We’ve known what Putin’s plan was for decades. Presidents from both political sides have come and gone. No US President has done anything to stop Putin.
Every indicator Biden has given since being in office is that it's going to be nonconfrontational, it's a continuation of Obama's foreign policy.
Leaders like Putin take that as an invitation to do what they want, and he has. For a year Russia built up forces around Ukraine, and what did Biden do? He removed sanctions on Nordstream 2, removed sanctions on oligarchs, then the cluster f of Afghanistan withdrawal, we stopped sending lethal aid to Ukraine at the same time Russia was building up on their border. Then we told Putin we weren't going to intervene militarily prior to the invasion, and didn't sanction them at the same time we were warning of imminent invasion.

We have an agreement with Ukraine for their protection in order to give up Nukes, tell Russia we will honor that if any Russian forces enter Ukraine, then it's on them to decide if it's worth it. The only side thats going to lose in this war is Ukraine and it's people. Russia will get the eastern portion it wants, the US will say Russia didn't get the whole Country so Biden gets a win, meanwhile millions of Ukrainians will have their lives changed forever.

Russia may want out and have something they can tout as a win but it doesn’t seem like Ukrainian leaders will give it to them. I almost think actually I do think zelensky thinks he can win the war unless Russia nukes them.

I have a feeling that if zelensky can turn it he will go for Crimea. NATO needs to be careful about putting too much into their hands you never know zelensky that guy with a powerful military non nato entity give them only Russian made.

I don’t want that guy with an axe to grind because he didn’t get full support bullying europe. Ukraine may come out if this with one of the strongest militaries at least battle tested in Europe.
- Agree that I think Zelenskyy thinks he can win. He's certainly not losing today.
- He has no internal resources to turn on the West, the hand that feeds him. He wouldn't be facing the R air force.
- Zen will be more than satisfied to get back to pre-war lines of control as anymore would more than likely, imo, unleash R tact nukes.
- Biggest success would be breaking R's Sea of Azov link between Donbas & Crimea; i.e., breaking Mariupol siege.

JMO.

We aren't ever leaving NATO, Trump is just leveraging the other members to pay their fair share.

Absurd, folks like you would let Putin threaten nukes and do whatever he wants in Europe while you're hiding in your basement. You CAN'T let him bluff like that. Look him straight in the eye. Tell him to call a cease fire immediately and start leaving Ukraine within 48 hours or we're going to even the playing field. His choice, then follow through. He has no intention of dying which is what would happen if he drops nukes. We'll all die.

I don’t know about Putin. But Joe Biden threatened to nuke American citizens on June 23, 2021
