My question is whether or not current/recent injuries play into this draft. A few players I’ve stayed away from just because of that. Also, some guys just aren’t winners when it comes to playoff basketball and advancing. JMO.
It's in the eyes of the voters... I take into account injury history, playoff success ect. When I vote and make my teams.
I’m going to take a slight gamble on the injury bug and go with the other splash brother, Klay Thompson. Kinda surprised he is still available. Must be the injury.
I'm shy with injuries as well. I'm not sure i agree with the other though. Even MJ wasn't a winner until he had the right pieces around him.
Yeah, I get what you’re saying. However, there are several players that have had the pieces around them and they just fail to deliver come playoff time. I don’t really wanna say any names of guys that haven’t been selected.
A guy like Durant, for example, had to go to a super team that had already won multiple titles, just in order to get one. There are several examples of guys that have had great pieces around them and just choke it away every single time. Also, guys that put up huge numbers but aren’t capitalizing on opportunities during winning time in big games. Great individual players, but not necessarily great team players.
People forget Durant did take okc to the finals with an undeveloped harden. Perhaps they didn’t win it against prime Lebron, Wade, and bosh, but he’s shown he is the guy that can take over games. He nearly beat eventual champion Giannis by himself last year with 48, 9, and 6 in game 7. Wouldn’t exactly say he’s not a winner just bc he hasn’t had Michael jordan success. I mean curry has 1 title without Durant. Dirk won a title by himself later in his career when he got pieces that fit perfectly. Before then people would have said he’s not a winner.

Solid pick. I was leaning between him and Klay. Went with Klay for his 3-point shooting as I didn't have any lol.
Had a feeling the way the draft was shaking out... I'd be able to land an elite PG in the 3rd round. I'll add to my Kentucky backcourt with a rising star... 20-5-5 this season.

I was going with Shai or Ball for my 3rd pick. Went with La’Melo just because he has an astronomical trajectory. Shai is a sneaky elite player in the league who gets forgotten. Because the Thunder would rather have draft picks than win
Alright, this pick is gonna make me or break me. It’s a gamble, I get that, but I just can’t pass him up at this stage. When on the floor, the guy was putting up numbers that have never been done before at his age, and couldn’t even buy a beer. He’s still just 21 years old. Give me Zion Williamson.

It’s a gamble, but definitely is less of a gamble than selecting Chris Paul with the second pick when he may be enshrined in the basketball hall of fame before our timeframe is over lol.
I think you may of been the 1st owner to draft 3 players who missed the entire 21/22 season.......
Have to disagree. He just signed a new deal and announced after last season he has no intentions of retiring anytime soon. At least he isn't 300-lbs with bum feet.
Lol I may be, but they’re 3 beasts. Only Zion has questions going forward. Kawhi is an all time great still in his prime and Damian has never had this level of talent around him
I think I, as well as any NBA GM in the history of the world, would take the chance on Zion for the next 5 years and not a man that will turn 43 by then. He’s also been an unproven winner all throughout his career, so even if he is still playing, meh lol
