We have been getting conned for a long time now by local, state and federal government.

I have proven that we pay more taxes in this country than most once you realize how many times you are actually taxed. Take a month's worth of receipts/bills and match them up against your pay and you will find you are paying over and sometimes near to 50% of what you make. At least the working class does. The only people screaming about more taxes to balance the budget are politicians who get rich and more powerful because of it and the non-working lazy liberal left who don't work but suck off of the government teat. These lazy bastards are the first to scream give me more. We have seen it in this thread.

Yeah, I remember that not too long-ago people were saying how quickly this would be over and that Russia could not sustain it. It is crazy how quickly people forget (whether by design or ignorance) how in recent decades we have had wars that were promised to be over in short order only to be extended because of "unforeseen" resistance or determination from the defenders or attackers. In any case, the warmongers (politicians) and big business always seem to come out on top while the people suffer.

Kamala thought government had settled the issue, but all throughout her lawyer life she knew in public discourse, as well as in scholarly discourse, it was anything but settled. And, historically, she should have known the country was divided in 1973.

Hate to play the “what about” game, but if conservative activists were harassing liberal SCOTUS justices the way ShutDown DC is doing to the conservative justices, Twitter would have shut that sh!t down within the first hour. I have every reason to believe their tweets are still up and their account is still active.

Social media...as bad as it is, at least you can spread info even when they try to stop it. The NY Post was banned from twitter for a while because they reported what was on Hunter Biden's laptop before the election. They were banned for putting accurate information out there, but there was still many conservative reporters telling the Hunter story that weren't banned, so the story at least could be found on social media.
The networks and cable news except for Fox either completely ignored every Hunter scandal (his addiction issues shouldn't matter to the public, his shady business deals really matter and show a crazy level of corruption by the Biden family) or if they mentioned Hunter for 5 seconds they would say something like '50 intelligence experts say the Hunter story is Russian disinfo'.
Our media has always leaned to the left, but they weren't quite as dirty in the past as they are now. The networks, the sunday morning shows would not report that a gunman went to Brett Kavanaugh's neighborhood. Acted like it didn't happen, not a word from the President either. You could find the story on social media, probably Fox, but if you got your news from traditional sources you wouldn't even know it happened. Think about it, a gunman went to a Supreme Court justices house and most of the media ignored it, or buried it on page 26 of the Times. If a gunman went to a liberal justices house it would be the lead in every news program for weeks.
On social media you might be banned for 'mis-gendering' someone but you can threaten conservative lawmakers and judges with impunity...I don't know what the answer is, but the right faces nothing but hostility when dealing with old or new media.

The SCOTUS decision returned the abortion issue to the people where it belongs. It’s time for people to advocate their views on this issue to their fellow citizens, their legislators, etc.
If abortion is legalized through lawful legislative and executive action then so be it. I think that’s totally wrong but at least it would be decided by the people rather than an unelected and practically unaccountable judicial Politburo.
