Best line of the night IMO.

"Hillary has experience. But it's bad experience."
His 30 year line was pretty good too. He had more memorable lines than Hillary did. Which is good because debates are more about zingers than anything, and he had some good ones.

what i'm amazed at is why poor stupid people who bitch about some factory or coal mining job that they lost think some president or policy is actually going to give them back their 40k year a job.

major cities falling apart? LOL
Do you get out much? Ever been to Detroit? Flint? Chicago? St. Louis? Have you seen the roads, bridges, schools? You're living in a dream world man. LEADERSHIP brings changes to policies and we sorely lack that at the top right now. I don't know if Trump could do it or not given the way he rubs people the wrong way but it would bring an outsiders perspective which could be a good thing. Hillary will do NOTHING to help our country.

As to your jab at a $40k job, there are plenty of people that would welcome that in this country.

This is the main issue, millions of people in this Country have lost good paying jobs that aren't being replaced. This isn't isolated to any section of the Country, as all of us are affected by it in some form or fashion.
Many are beginning to see that low cost, cheaply made products aren't worth it in return for those lost jobs.
The main people benefitting from our current trade deals are the extreme wealthy. They aren't facing the burden of losing the means to an income.

While Trump won't bring every job back, he hasn't been part of the political circle that enacted the deals that fast tracked them out. Hillary has and is, and no matter what she says now she will go forward with TPP.

don't know if the true watch numbers are going to be the 100M predicted, but can't imagine even 50% will want to watch these 2 (plus 'helpful' media moderators!) do this song & dance 2 more times.

is our short attention span binge watching society gonna invest another 180 minutes in this? I'm doubtful. Forget watching a second of Pence & Kaine, yawn....

The biggest issue here in this thread is that a lot of folks beleive we are heading down the wrong path - financially, security wise, etc...

Most people believe things are great. Actually, more than great. You heard Lester. We're coming off 6 years of "record breaking growth". National security, for example, is not as important to majority of voters as helping/taking in refugees.

So all of trumps positions are not popular positions, and even worse, they can be deemed "racist" by today's weird PC standards that I don't get; but agin, the majority of America does.

So....

Idk. Trump has zero shot like most people initially believed, and he's not even willing to play politics to *try* and persuade idiots. It is almost like he's a paid Clinton mole.

I think one of those other republican clowns like Rubio could have done better, tbh. Again, we're talking about getting elected by the American people; not who's right, or what's best for our country...shit, again, what's best for the world, for those 28 countries we support, is way more important to the majority of Americans than our own country is, because, again, we are a rich, white, selfish ass nation, and that's gotta change.

It's hard to understand and grasp that as a rural Kentuckian. I understand.

[laughing]

This is by definition retarded!

You can take your growth and shove it. I guess things do tend to grow when you go 10 trillion dollars in the hole in an 8 year period just to prop shit up.

My goodness the awareness of the idiots in this country is enough to make someone just give up.

I wonder how many watched the first half hour then checked out. If that number is very high, Trump might have actually helped himself a good bit last night. Thought he did fine - given the expectations - that first half hour or 45 minutes.

I see Nate Silver is comparing Hillary's victory to other huge historic beat-downs - all based on CNN's numbers. Which he admits is +15 Democrats in sample, which of course they won't enjoy on election day. So, seems dubious to me, but he's Nate Silver. By now, he gets to claim the sun will rise in the West, and some would agree. I wonder if he and Lester are similar - both, presumably, in Manhattan, both surrounded by people hounding them in favor of Hillary (Lester saw how Matt Lauer was treated, and Silver alluded just yesterday to the blowback he's getting from Hillary fans for saying Trump might win). My guess is either could go a full month and not hear from a Trump supporter. Human beings are only human....

Just can't believe people are saying she won. She didn't win. She was awful. Looked so fake and manufactured. If you get her wet, she'd melt.

I bet when she walked off stage, she let a big nasty fart, like one youve been holding in for an hour. The whole last 30 minutes, I just kept thinking, she looks like she has to fart.

There is only one group of people who get to decide who won . . . and that would be from among the undecided(s) who have since done so. Pretty clear that from among this group Trump not only won but stomped her crusty-DC ass. She was so desperate to get an advantage . . . my husband is Bill Clinton . . . I'm a victimized woman . . . everybody saw through this.

Oh hell yes, she had that "oops, I shit my pants hope no one notices" look.

Why the Donald Trump who appeared on stage Monday can't win

"If the presidential debate lasted about 10 minutes, Donald Trump could be celebrating a game-changing victory on the morning after. But it lasted 90 minutes and turned into a compete nightmare for the Republican nominee, who could not stop interrupting his opponent and saying incomprehensibly idiotic things."
This is hive-mind thinking, and it's not reality. Trump can win being Trump because Hillary is Hillary.

Kopi, that's the same thing I felt watching last night.

The only way she really wins is if she found a way to make herself more likeable and she clearly did not do that. Everyone knows Trump is brash and he did not disappoint but he did not come off as a lunatic which is what many people were waiting for.

When someone says she won because Trump did not put her feet to the fire on all her corruption that says so much about her more than anything else. Like I said earlier, she and Lester did not bring up anything that he has not already been drilled about multiple times in the GOP debates. I do believe he left some things on the table, but there are two debates left. OK, bring up Trump U which has been discussed over and over again. Bring up his bankruptcies more. Been there done that. Now let Trump start going after her hardcore on her corruption and its a whole new ballgame for her because she has yet had to face the immense scrutiny on a debate stage in this election. He almost went after Bill when she started to whole women topic last night but he restrained himself. He has plenty of ammo left. She has little.

So are we for infrastructure jobs now? Because when Obama was proposing this it was the absolute worst idea in the world. Now that DT is complaining about it it's 'genius'. We'd have better infrastructure if the right wasn't constantly blocking it or an increase in the gas tax to help pay for those roads and bridges.

Obama called for an infrastructure bank to help fund projects, but it has been repeatedly rejected by Congress.

Trade deals help small businesses as well as the wealthy. Up until about 18 months ago, Republicans would be giving high fives over that idea.

NAFTA didn't get passed without Republicans help. Again, up until about 18 months ago, it was loved by quite a few Republicans. If NAFTA was so great for Mexico why aren't they doing better?

Well, porn searches were way down during the debate...

Agree, the only group that matters are the few undecideds or those that might conceivably switch, which has to be a low number. But where are you getting that they thought Trump won the debate?

Obama didn't come up with any way to pay for the infrastructure other than tax the rich, which means we all get taxed. Trump says allow wealth to come back into the Country, bring back and keep good paying manufacturing jobs and then the tax bases will be built back up to pay for infrastructure.

As far as Republicans and NAFTA, you're absolutely correct, it's why so many Reps refused or drug their feet on Trump, they were all for NAFTA.
It's also a reason why the Dems are so scared of him, if he pulls in the blue collar crowd it rearranges the whole electoral demographics.

Uh ... cause it's Mexico?

I noticed this too. When she got rattled, she went and hid behind her former POTUS 'husband''s legacy. Unbelievable.

Discredited as usual, liberal commentator. Your shtick is getting old. Find someone who is not from the left viewpoint.

Mexico is doing better, btw. They fought liberal bulllshit, started restoring law and order, then they got a worldly PC idiot elected when we elected Obama.

This is a global thing. We can continue to devalue our nation to appease/work
with these clowns around the globe, or we can focus on fixing ourselves.

Obama was elected largely because young people didn't understand/want us involved in other countries shit, btw. LMAOx100.

I shouldn't be surprised with how hard the Main Stream Media Liberal-Industrial Complex would try to spin this as a smashing victory for Hilldawg....but I am indeed surprised with how openly & vigorously they have been going to work on that outcome since 11 pm last night.

I'm shocked, just shocked that most of the pundits are claiming that Clinton won the debate. In fairness to the pundits, even if they were objective, which they are not, they would probably say that Clinton won the debate. For thing, she was debating one person; Trump was debating two. For Trump to expect fairness from the media is like UK expecting fairness from SEC officials in a road game against a SEC national championship contender when UK is 3-6.

From what I watched of it, it seemed that me that if this was a contest to see who gets to be on the college debate team, Clinton probably won, though a debate coach might be intrigued with Trump's raw potential. Be that as it may, "winning" the debate is defined by how it will affect the election, not how many points you score with debate team coaches or Beltway pundits. Trump needed to avoid gaffes, and needed to avoid looking like a maniac. In that respect, he did fine. As of now, the only poll that included any post-debate participants was Gravis, and it showed a slight increase in Trump's lead as of this morning.

He trumped up, trickle down economics line was a total failure. And you could tell by the big smile on her face, she thought that would be awesome

No. Obama wanted to spend trillions on supposed shovel ready jobs, but couldn't point to them. Then barely any of them were actually accomplished. Total failure.

NAFTA didn't get passed without Republicans help. Again, up until about 18 months ago, it was loved by quite a few Republicans. If NAFTA was so great for Mexico why aren't they doing better?

That was clintons baby. She tied herself to it last night yet again. Even if you were correct, he's not those Republicans by any stretch

Bob Dole was a huge proponent for NAFTA.

I dont like either candidate but it scares the sh*t out of me that so many people think Trump should be president.. Good news for Bam Margera or Johnny Knoxville.... just slap the Republican elephant symbol on your back and go into politics.......... people will vote for you just because...

I'm neither rep or dem and from a starting point without bias (later became biased due to how awful trump is) .... He's saying... acting and doing things that just make me wonder if this whole thing is rigged since he was friends with the Clintons for a long time before the race.

P.S. I'm not voting for either because it makes me want to vomit that either could be president.
