Agree, number of cases is not the telling metric. The one to really watch is death rate. If cases go up, but death rate does not rise with it, then it likely means the virus is mutating to a less deadly variant or tx are getting better, or both. These would be good things, esp if covid worked its way down to the flu or a common cold.
One thing to be sure ... when this started there were reports of ppl bleeding out their eyes and nose as it was ravaging wuhan and china was welding their citizens inside their homes to die. I was reading these reports while deciding whether to travel for work.
That threat was a reason to be very concerned. I think both sides can agree we are no longer at that place.

The dystopia you saw on the leaked Chinese videos is what a pandemic dystopia would look like.. people falling over dead in the street, steam cleaning the streets, body bags piled up, etc.
The dystopia we're living through feels a lot more like government bullshit.

The leaked Chinese videos were disinformation videos from China. And they worked. Caused the world to wet the collective bed. And China, after no real lockdown at all, except for Wuhan, and brief and sporadic measures elsewhere, is sitting pretty economically compared to everywhere else.

The decrepit crypt-keeper that you voted for has mentioned heading into a “Dark Winter” multiple times now. If his “victory” holds up, I would be shocked if there were a season and at that point and if there is, seriously doubt it gets finished (similar to last year). They are pushing for more and more mass testing to turn this into a casedemic and pump more fear into the sheep. Thus leading into further lockdowns. Gotta blame the incoming financial collapse on Covid and put the Great Reset in place.
