Lmao - don’t condescend to you? You spend all day doing that - what, you don’t like it?
And yet this is what you continue the conversation with. I actually thought you were trying to have a real conversation, but no, just more crap. That is what you enjoy. Have you ever surveyed who is slinging crap all day every day? By your response I deduce you have not.

How can you call this a bungled mess from the oval office, when we don't know the outcome? What could have happened different so far that would've slowed the rate of the virus?
It's here, it's been here before we even knew what it was. The CDC will never farm out responsibility to the WHO, and they shouldn't. First, and most importantly is they want it done right, and second is they don't want to seem unnecessary for funding.

If Obama were handling this, over 500k Americans would be dead by now

Because unlike you and your idol I actually listen to people who are expert in their field. I don't belittle or dismiss a person because they are a different nationality or especially know things I don't. You realize it's pretty stupid to ignore the fact some countries have been better at slowing the rate of transmission than this country. The problem isn't the CDC farming out anything, the problem started when the orange monkey started firing the people at the CDC we need now to protect us. It's like you don't realize there is print on the other side of the page so you stop. Turn the damn page.

I especially love the moronic argument that THIS is proof we need universal healthcare.

We already have a lack of doctors. You can't force people to be Drs. The lack is mainly due to continually dropping Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement.

Universal healthcare will make that worse not better.

Media-driven fear mongering + individual and corporate group think/hive mind + fear of being sued + fear of bad public perception probably makes up a good chunk of the reason why.
Absolutely. NOBODY wants to be the pariah who offered the last free-standing gathering of human petri dish. And I'm dead serious. In this cancel culture, your entire brand could be destroyed by wrong thought. The domino/lemming effect is the scariest part of all of this, imo.

The media has shouted fire in every theater. Nobody is booking. Brilliant.

Yeah That why the countries that already have it are doing so much worse than us. Man you simply are an unarmed participant in this conversation.

This from Joe Biden who I don't have a big affinity for: "Coronavirus does not have a political affiliation" and “We will lead by science,” Joe Biden says, adding that “downplaying” the threat of the coronavirus or “being overly dismissive or spreading misinformation is only going to hurt us and further advantage the spread of the disease.”

He's holding the government hostage to get his political wall that will do ZILCH to strengthen border security, just add more costs.

I mean seriously, how much more evidence do you guys need? You sure didn't need even a pinch of this to want to get rid of Obama did ya? Or Clinton? Nope. I've never seen a bigger bunch of poser patriots in my life.

I But this time, the Dems needed a hail Mary so here we are

This is absolutely the case, aided and abetted by a corrupt despicable media. I had CNN/MSNBC on all day in the background yesterday and I really couldn't believe, well I could, the level of propagadna being slung around unashamedly...

buncha ditto heads, all in agreement... everything bad, everything orange man fault

think it was you yesterday or day before was wondering why all this histeria or something along those lines, I meant to post this but got busy/forgot

didn't know who this guy is, but apparently he's a hedge fund guy turned eccentric journalist, the alex jones of finance.

maybe conspiratorial, maybe all this is just incidental, accidental and reaction upon reaction... but maybe the answer is really hidden in plain sight

My wife gives flu shots for a living and won't take one b/c she can't get anybody in her company or the vaccine manufacturer to tell her why aluminum is the adjuvant of choice in the shots, knowing its effects on the brain.

Whole family off the shot for going on 5 years. No flu. Sorry about your luck. Continue to let fear drive you.
Have never gotten the flu shot. My philosophy is always, let everybody else get the flu shot. If they don't get the flu, I won't either. If they do get the flu, and I end up getting the flu too, then the flu shot wouldn't have helped me anyway. If I get the flu and they don't, well, that's when I'd re-examine my stance, and that hasn't happened yet.

I think four out of five people who contract Convid-19 will suffer very little from the virus. It is the other 20% who have a more serious experience risk, and death being a big part of that risk. People are prone to hysteria when there is mass confusion from mixed messages about a deadly sickness. That is not new and more than anything is a prime example of Donald Trump's incompetence as a leader. His quick dismissal of a national concern, his obvious confusion and inconsistent messaging with many missing facts, and his over-arching concern about his image rather than public health are blatant examples of how poor he is as a leader.

I'd say his overarching concern from the minute he decided to run has revolved around America, and protecting it from outside risks that can easily be prevented or at least mitigated with some common sense national security measures. Another pillar of his agenda has been being less involved with China.

From border security to travel bans from the outset of his presidency, to shutting entry down well before this thing blew up into what it is.

He has met resistance along the way from all sides of the political spectrum.

How about a leader who was in charge of the H1N1 mess who criticized the decision to shut things down and "xenophobic..."...how about that guy leading the country in a time like this? How about an admin who is crises is chiefly concerned about bean counting?!

The butt fumbling of testing being rolled out isn't on trump, that's on the red tape and bureaucracy of past admins.

Not being able to roll out some simple test is why most folks don't want government in complete control of healthcare.

The CDC has one job...disease...them muffing things is about like a punter whiffing a kick...you got one damn job...

Levi, I hope you understand that if you get Coronavirus- the test does nothing to help any doctor do his or her job. They treat symptoms of this, not the virus itself. So whether or not you get tested isn’t much of a deal to doctors as far as treatment.

The testing delay was a flop from the cdc, but they now have a surplus of tests - but many testing facilities around the country are higher tech and lower volume.
Just like the flu. You treat the symptoms of the flu, there is no cure. The vaccines are hit or miss, and stop only one type of the flu. Even with the vaccine (which does no good after you've contracted it) we still have millions get the flu and 10's of thousands of deaths to mostly the same at risk population that the coronavirus affects. So tell me again why are we losing our collective minds over one and not the other?

Obligatory knock on wood, but I’ve never gotten a flu shot and have never had the flu.

I’m also not your typical overweight or obese American.

I am not concerned about the coronavirus like all the fatty democrats who haven’t developed immune systems since they haven’t left their moms basement in a decade.

When can everything go back to normal? Once coronavirus is eradicated from the planet?

Or is November 4, 2020 going to be when the coronavirus “problem” is solved?
Good question. When will a return to normal happen, if ever?

Hell, after a few weeks of "non-traditional instruction" where our kids are learning without attending a school, we may find the need for school attendance unnecessary. Then, we can get rid of all the teachers who no longer have to babysit a classroom of kids, we just need a few teachers to prepare lessons and record instruction statewide; we can sell the property and school buildings to the private sector for use as office space; No more busing kids to and from school every day, so no need for buses and bus drivers; and all those school administration positions that pay $100K+ for very little become obsolete and unnecessary.

So if I'm an at-risk individual and I attend a public event where I am exposed to people with the Flu virus. Suppose I get real sick and die, can my family sue the event holders for not taking proper precautions to prevent the spread of the Flu? Think that would fly in court? You think the judge would tell my family that I should have known the risks going into such an event during the Flu season? Why would the Coronavirus be any different?

Yes it would be assuming the risk and you should have a very tough time getting money at all.

If we get to a point where all kids are home schooled, just cancel the country. You’ll have a centralized federal government online learning system, and a generation of people who have even less ability to interact in person than today’s millennials.

So sorry this is 2020 not 2019 and being prepared isn't prepared if you fire your experts who were part of the preparedness.

this is cognitive dissonance.

you look for justifications to conform to your worldview, rather than accept reality the way it is.

you leftists like to think you understand the data, that you are the only ones and that makes you smarter than the right.

that's simply not true, as evidenced here... you only care about the data when it conforms to your opinion, science is actually unbiased and not left leaning like you think.

you're wrong here like everywhere else.

this is the best country in the world with the best healthcare in the world precisely because we don't do things like the rest of the world.

It’s different if everyone else is canceling things and you decide to be the outlier who doesn’t. If no one started overreacting about coronavirus, others wouldn’t have needed to.

Who was fired at the CDC that would’ve been riding in on the white horse? I didn’t belittle you at all, it was a serious question, of which you clearly have no answer.
What country has slowed the rate of transmission better? You still don’t know where we’re going to end up. The President was the first leader to bar transportation from China, that was a proactive move.

You stated the WHO had a test kit that we didn’t accept, that’s the CDC decision. I’m not blaming them, I prefer it be right than fast.

I listened to the House hearings yesterday, in no way am I saying everything was done perfectly, it wasn’t. I also realize this is an unprecedented event, things don’t go exactly as planned in those situations.

The media’s oversemsationalism has caused knee jerk reactions by the public and essentially shutdown the country. That isn’t smart or responsible on their part.

IMO the actions of the governor of Ohio started this cancelling of events.

No one wants to have laser of the media pointed on them as the nonconformist.

Are you serious? We couldn't even have the NCAA tournament played in empty gyms...the whole sports world has shut down...toilet paper is being hoarded in every town and hamlet...and yet in Denver this was the scene for Post Malone.

I had never heard of him. Had to google it. We can't have basketball but thousands can go to listen to this guy:

PM is fantastic and I’m old

It's such a pandemic that schools must be cancelled! After one more day or school of course.

Disney shuts down! Beginning tomorrow.

You think you have it? Self quarantine. Ya just pinky swear you won't go around people.

Folks if it was as serious as they are telling us, none of this would be happening.

Remember Ebola? THAT was serious. How do I know? Because the people involved acted like it was serious. There was no self quarantine. You were mandatory quarantined. People wore hazmat suits. But somehow it was 10% the panic of this
