And I'd say the average poster here is much smarter than the average Joe on the street. I wonder how many Kentuckians could even pick Kansas off an unlabeled map.

How many NY, DC and CA residents could pick KS off a map? And how many of them would be proud that they didn’t care enough about middle America to be able to do it?

This. The Mini Mike video with the dog is equivalent to Trump's KC thing. Both sides trying to make the other political party look stupid when really there is nothing there. I thought the video of the dog was going to be worse than that. That is pretty much the only way people can pet my Huskies head. You go to pet his head and he opens his mouth and looks up. So you basically do the exact same thing as Mike does in that video. If anything that video shows Mike has dealt with dogs plenty and knows that is a natural thing many hyper dogs do.

Understood, but multiple posters here claimed they didn't know there were 2 different Kansas Citys. And JStaff said he asked 3 different people which state Kansas City was in and they all got it wrong. That's basic geographical knowledge IMO.

On the lines of gaffes and not knowing geographical locations or other notable obvious common knowledge information, do any of you ever consider education/intelligence in terms of specific focus or subject matter? Not everyone's focus is on geography or science or math or grammar, etc...after a certain amount of time, if you don't work or study in these areas you lose some of that you have learned or understand. All of us have specifics we are probably better in than those around us or for that matter people on this site. As our esteemed Canadian professed earlier, I too do not have a degree. I have many college hours and credits and military schools but, my world knowledge and personal experiences gives me a leg up on those who have only read about such things that I have done.
