Leaked reporter interview on Epstein is completely insane. She's probably going to mysteriously commit suicide too right?
The sick part is that ABC chose to protect the Clintons and other famous cronies over protecting victims/potential victims. I hope some of this girls sue ABC into oblivion and that the higher-ups who made said decision are thrown in prison for the rest of their lives.

There's potential for criminal culpability. Most states have statutes making it mandatory to refer information like this to at least cps

Has anyone ever sounded so jilted ex gf than scaramucci? Everyone knows trump is tough to work for. He should Just take the L and move on.
Perhaps because he feels foolish that it took him so long to realize that working for Trump is 100% about feeding Trump's ego and nothing about serving a nation or doing the right thing.

The AMERICAN Broadcasting Company chose to sacrifice American children so they wouldn’t miss out on interviewing British royalty. Tells you all you need to know about where the left’s loyalty lies.

For those that actually follow Kentucky politics closely (if there is anyone), what are the chances anything gets done over the next few years?

A tax increase would be terrible. Has Beshear floated that idea or am I just assuming he has? I for one couldn’t give a shit less about the teachers and their pension at this point. The teachers apparently feel the same way.

Marijuana? Table gaming/sports betting?

I assume with Churchill Downs buying Turfway, the Politicians they have on payroll now may be open to expanded gaming at horse tracks (which is total bullshit but I’d assume the lobbyists will ensure we never have stand alone casinos or books).

From a political standpoint, I guess I’d expect the Republicans to put the brakes on making any progress even if they think it will improve the state just so Beshear doesn’t get a win.

Again, I have no idea, just rambling. Would love any insight anyone actually has into Frankfort.

Not even a hint of a tax increase. Go back to bed.

Glad you are finally looking up to me. You are welcome.
Happy Hump Day.

30% of us voters across 18 states us electronic machines that do not have paper backup and cannot be recounted. The Dems tried to ban them in the last round of election funding but the GoP wouldn't allow it. The machines were a complete failure from the start but conservative states bought them up in mass in 2005. They are slowly being retired but alot of counties can't afford new ones.
How were the machines a failure? Did they randomly change the votes that were input or something? It’s a computer. Votes get input by the voter and the machine records them. Seems pretty foolproof. Not sure why recounts of those votes would be necessary other than the Dems can’t cry foul when they lose. I’m actually pretty happy with Kentucky’s system. They ask for my ID and my ballot gets scanned and stored in a secure system. Not in some random box that gets lost in transit by some random “volunteer”

I dont' think he talked about taxes, but he's going to have to do something for these teachers. He's giving them all a 2k raise on day 1. Taxes will have to be raised on "the wealthy" and "evil corporations".

I didn't know Bowling Green was so liberal. They were pretty much right there with Jeffeson and Fayette. I thought it was all cornfields, coveralls, and shotguns out there.

Republicans gotta find a way to import and indoctrinate large sums of stupid voters like democrats have with universities.

Bowling Green is home to WKU and it's renowned teacher college. Too many voters bought Beshear's description of Bevin as hostile and unfeeling toward teachers. Don't kid yourself, the NEA and KEA have lots of influence around here.

Does Bevin still end up in the Trump administration, or is he too toxic to bring to Washington? Would love to see him be the Secretary of Education!

Safe to say this was strictly a Bevin personality issue. Every other republican won. There is no other explanation.
True. This is 100% on Bevin. Only criticism trump deserves is he couldn't get him over the hump. A lot of R's who love trump just couldn't vote for Bevin. Bevin should be embarrassed he f ed this up. I think he moves out of ky within a year.

Which, in the end, shouldn't have mattered...big picture and the state is better off now than when he took office. This showed the complete ignorance of those who voted for the crooked son.

Just for fun:
Can we eliminate yours?
Why not so as long as every smaller population county gets eliminated too? Mine is over 150K. I mean 30-50 counties are about the right number.

Some are just too small to provide quality education & cost effective government. Robertson is a joke. So are the counties along the Mississippi. Gallatin? LOL.

F'd it up how? ....by calling the teachers out for their ignorance? He stuck by his guns and more power to him. This was simply a power play by those who disliked them and they were willing to sacrifice the good of the state to see him ousted. Same with those who dislike Trump...they would rather see this country fail than him get re-elected.

This race was controlled by Jefferson Co, nothing more.

They won every other statewide race in landslide fashion. They need to import a better candidate for governor next time.

Stivers said he thought Bevin’s speech declining to concede to Beshear was “appropriate.” He said believes most of the votes that went to Libertarian John Hicks, who received about 2% of the total vote, would have gone to Bevin and made him the clear winner.

This is the KY GoP response to bevin losing, lmao. "Bevin may have gotten less votes but he should have gotten more, so he really wins!"
U made the last three words up. Stivers words do not support that.

I can see casinos being approved, but allowing them only at race tracks would be spiting the rest of the state. So that's what's likely to happen.

Legislature doesn't need Beshear to do anything as his veto can be overridden my simple majorities in both houses.

Anyone going to work for trump has no right to complain about it. Trump's been trump since the 80s. Can't quit and whine about ego. For decades, his ego is legendary.

He'll have to repay all the support nea/kea gave him. They literally handed him the election. Tons of misinformation combined with a few select soundbites of stupidity.

So I suspect they'll all get a big raise. He'll push a tax increase to pay for it, with the threat of mobilizing teachers against any congress that vote against it. BUT WHAT ABOUT THE TEAAAACHEEERS

Some kea goons will get cushy jobs doing nothing. And his pals will be appointed over the pension, so they can raid it again.

Don't kid yourself, the NEA and KEA have lots of influence around here.

Absolutely. Look how many people are employed by the public school system. They did a great job brainwashing a group of obviously middling/low intelligence/ambition.

Also make no mistake: The underlying concern there was bevins love for school voucher. Nea had to pull out all stops to prevent that.

Here's some insight into Kentucky.

The natives only like ass hole yankee carpet baggers when it comes to coaching their basketball teams.

When it comes to winning for the actual state, the same mindset doesn't apply, or apply for long anyway.

Bevin, though he's been here for about 20 years has always been an "outsider" something he couldn't over come despite some decent economic progress and making headway into a budget that was d*cked up by good ole boy kentuckians.

He put his foot into his mouth too many times especially when it came to the key voting block of the state, teachers. Even though he got their pension back on track.

I hope Beshear can come to the middle and build upon some things Bevin did and I hope pubs can come to the middle and help him push through weed and gambling which Bevin wouldn't do...two things I think would have helped him last night.

How Beshear and Cameron work together will be interesting and key. Relatively young guys who can maybe find some common ground and help the state get with the times.

Cameron specifically will be interesting to keep an eye on, he seems to have a mass appeal about him that should make his time as AG brief as he will probably rise past that...

Are you serious? He screwed up by not being a decent person. Hell he could have swallowed his pride and walked back comments to teachers and won by 10%. He's a dick. He thought his connection with trump would be enough. I can see why people like trump. I don't. But I can see it. Bevin is not trump. He wants to be but he is not.

The total vote differentiation of the all the races is interesting.

Governor: 1,442,622 total votes
Attorney Gen: 1,425,161 (17,461 fewer total votes than governor)
Secretary of State: 1,427,284 (15,338)
State Auditor: 1,400,460 (42,162)
State Treasurer: 1,410,954 (31,668)
Agriculture Commish: 1,410,610 (32,012)
Epstein Didn't Kill Himself: 100%

Shows how many people went straight R without Bevin. I bet there has never been a result like this. The numbers are amazing.

I honestly think beshears will work with Cameron and the legislature if both sides will just give it a chance. Someone needs to have s come to Jesus meeting with that tool Thayer or nothing will get done for 4 years.

As I said earlier, Bevin lost a net 6-7K votes in Kenton vs. 2015. But, there was also a special election for my state rep's seat - about 80% in Kenton & thus 25% of Kenton's population - & the Pub won by 4K. So yes, clearly all on Bevin himself.

I thought Thayer favors casinos & tried to get them passed.

-pubs dont have to do crap...they still own the state and have majority in the legislature and hold the constitutional offices. Andy was a protest vote, nothing more...hes hamstrung. Would love to see him tack to the middle/right...but don't look for anything substantial to get done.

-teachers/allies, your voice was heard. Now please get to work and see if we can move into the top 45 in education.
