You better believe a ton of lobbyist money was spent on those 3 World Series games sending their bought and paid for Politicians to the game. That entire area are full of highly overpaid, lazy, and corrupt Federal Government employees. So, yeah, not a big surprise Trump got alot of boos. Funny enough, their team lost 3 straight and getting ready to lose to a team in a Red state.

Man, the "rah rah go team" aspect of politics in this country is ridiculous and hilarious. Now, you are even tying them to the geographical location of an MLB team. ****ing delusional.

Trump suggests impeachment was reason he kept IS raid secret

AP story. He didn't suggest anything. He clearly stated that he didn't tell the traitors about the raid because he didn't want to endanger our troops beyond what they were already facing. He plainly said that Adam Schiff is a leaker.

The only suggestions are those by this hack writer and they are aimed at the useful idiots who still believe the mainstream media is telling them the truth. About anything.

How so? Polls open at 6AM in most places, get up and go early if you live in a high traffic area.

Are the lines hours all day, or is it everyone coming all at once why they are long? Election day is not a surprise, plan in advance.
There's no reason voters should have to know/guess when lines are short. It's on election officials to know that and have the resources in place.

Voting should be restricted to property owners and/or business owners. Have some skin in the game before you get to decide how the game will be played.

Go on government assistance ie food stamps or welfare, give up your right to vote for the period you receive assistance.

For federal elections, each state shall collect and count votes in the same manner with the same devices. At no time shall an individual be in physical contact with cast ballots.

Felons who serve more than 1 year in prison relinquish their right to vote. Don't do the crime if can't do the time. Don't do it.

I think these simple rules should make everyone happy. Government is easy.

Wow. Just wow.

Has the person who used "austere religious scholar" been terminated from WaPo yet? I figured that they would get the same treatment as the ESPN headline writer who used "chink in the armor" in reference to Jeremy Lin. Also, maybe a visit from the DHS?

I think part of this post is tongue in cheek, but are you saying the dude in the West Va holler who owns a $9,000 trailer should be able to vote, but not the Wall Street executive in Manhattan who rents a $25,000 a month condo?

No, civil servants are not a right. We pay 4 trillion with a private system, you make it all govt and you can times that 1.5 at a minimum.
"No, civil servants are not a right." What does that mean?
While there is no constitutional right to public education or police protection...we have made it a requirement to educate children and localities are required to make schools available.
The police are actually constitutionally required to give equal protection.

Though I have asked many times you've still not answered. If every working example of universal care is less costly, the most expensive is 20% less and on average 50% less costly, why would the US be different?

If we all agree that voting is an important part of a democracy, why wouldn't we want to make it as easy as possible? Voter turnout was around 55% in the last election. Granted, some people are never going to vote no matter what. But some people aren't going to vote because they don't want to stand in line for hours at a time. Mail in ballots are a step in the right direction, but I think it is crazy to come up with excuses as to why we shouldn't change it to make it easier. Many argue that voter ID laws should be in place in all states. What would you do if I offered excuse after excuse as to why an ID isn't necessary when voting?

Turnout percentages are low because some cities/counties/states refuse to revise and clear out their voter rolls, and many of the no-shows are people who have either moved away, become unable to vote, or have died.

What system is in place to reconcile that information? None.

Good point. Hadn't thought of it that way.

Informed voting is an essential part of a functioning democracy.

Uninformed masses voting based on party affiliation and Facebook memes is incredibly detrimental to a functioning democracy.
I agree.
So...are educated people more or less informed?

Speaking of WaPo obits. Heh.

Yes that's what he said

Does he own the property where the trailer is located? Then yes.

Does the exec own any property or a business? If not, then no.

See how simple it is?

He simply cannot see the bigger picture, unintended consequences, and how things work in reality. All he sees is tax, dump money = happiness.

Medicare 4 all has been tried in individual states and failed. I'm unsure why they think a massive disruptive scale would work that's has been proven would increase care. These are ppl that thought the individual mandate was a good idea.
M4A single payer system has not been tried in one single state.
Besides, if a provider only has to move across a state line to avoid a law then you've only proved that they will seek the most money. We already know that. What will they do if they get the same reimbursement rate regardless of their locality? You think rural hospitals would be closing if providers got the same reimbursement for caring for someone in Columbia vs in Lexington?

I already answered this...

And I could go on for days why some degree of socialism works in some ways to some effect that could not work here to the same degree, assuming you actually want what is best for people and not what is best for your ideology.

There's no way around it, if you want the US to be the best country in the world on balance you have to accept American values and freedom of the individual in economic matters. If you want to weaken this country and thereby the rest of the civilised world and their working examples of universal care with it, then you make the simple shallow arguments you make.

There's a reason why the best hospitals with the best doctors with the best innovation is here. There's a reason why the best insert anything happens here and not there.

I read some of the economic argument the other other day that Warren economists are going to try to make, they are Berkley Marxists with a new book to peddle, and some of the comments on a British news site. There wasn't a single comment that wasn't tainted with severe and obvious strong anti-American sentiment, lots of hatred and jealousy. The same thing happens with you new woke American leftists, you are jealous of others and you think are perfectly justified in your form of hatred, your racist beliefs and your form of greed. This is the best economy ever and the best insert anything ever, the best game in town in the istory of history and it will only get better so long as you maroons don't get your chance at breaking it.

Define educated. Define informed.

Informed people are informed. Educated people are educated. Having a PhD does not mean you’re informed on issue related to modern day politics.

This is a big reason why the global warming “consensus” is bunk. I really don’t give a shit if a pediatrician in Zimbabwe thinks global warming is real, but has never actually studied global warming, just wrote a paper on the impacts of global warming assuming its real.

No it isn't. Every precinct would be backed up if everyone went to vote at once. Plan ahead, again, how many precincts are backed up for hours all day?

Is Trump asking for any credit? I must've missed it. Also, do you not notice the difference in how the media has reacted to each scenario?

Washington DC represents real Americans? One of, if not the wealthiest town in the Country per capita does not represent real America. I wonder how many in that crowd works for the Govt? Over/under 80%
"Bin Laden was a big thing, but this is the biggest there is, this is the worst ever," Trump said. "Osama bin Laden was big, but Osama bin Laden became big with the World Trade Center. This is a man who built a whole, as you would like to call it a country, a caliphate and was trying to do it again."

He can't help himself, he has to try and spin it to make it look like he did something greater than Obama. And just give it a few days...he will try and take more and more credit. Before the end he will claim he was the one that placed the suicide vest on al-Baghdadi and pushed the button to ignite it. Obama lives rent free in his head. He even had to stage a photograph of him in the situation room. How do we know it was staged? Because the photo timestamp shows was 1 hour 35 minutes after the operation had ended.

I think even the most ardent Trump supporters would acknowledge that his ego is the size of Texas and needs constant stroking and reassurance. None of this should come as a surprise to anyone.

lol look, a loony toon once again getting outraged about things he imagines Trump is going to do.

might want to reevaluate who lives in who’s head rent free.

You're the one that made the statement about civil servants being a right.

Because I don't believe the numbers RQ. There isn't a govt project that costs less than private, and that's equal to private. Look at government ran agencies, it's absurd the waste that occurs.
By the time we all realize those numbers are BS it's too late. The system would be in place and it would never go away. Which you and every Dem pushing knows, cost be damned.

I guess what goes around, comes around. Trump obviously didn’t think Obama deserved any credit for killing bin Laden...why does Trump deserve any credit now?

Also, it’s good for Trump to come out of his echo chamber and hear what real Americans really think about him.
Oh, and @Bill Derington...just another example of Trump's hypocrisy. There are 100s more just like this.
Nice try but your train left the station and your party has been left behind in the dust. If you want to know what Americans think of Trump turn on the TV and watch his talk before the police officers in Chicago. They got his back and we got his back.

We will blow the train whistle as we go around the curves.
