In all seriousness, I did give her some shit for it. I was like "Was it really a wise idea to pull money out just because you hate Trump?".. She fessed up to it. But then went on about how this time.. this time he's definitely going to tank the economy.

I'm about to hack her TD Ameritrade account.

The investing threads on Reddit are a hoot today (which are generally liberal despite the fact that it's about money). People losing their shit, blaming the president, saying they are going to take their money out of stocks cause he's killing the economy.

My mom pulled half of her stocks when Trump got elected because she hates him.

Dumb bitch.. spent the last 3 years losing money aka my inheritance.
The Stock Markets are goofy to begin with. Somebody, somewhere says something. Boom Market drops 800 points. Tomorrow Somebody Somewhere says something else. Boom Stocks rebound 800 points. That's obviously a generalization, but basically how it's been working.

No shit, I was at a mixer with some financial advisors a couple of weeks back and one of them told me he pulled his money out of the market because he thinks a crash is coming and was advising people to do the same.

That’s likely the last time I talk to anyone from that firm.

Wish I had time for Reddit: I'd have a blast there.

Sorry about your inheritance: my mom gambled mine away so you're still ahead of me lol.

Ha, I mean.. I imagine it's coming. Bulls and Bears are just the nature of the game. But to keep betting against Trump, after the S&P500 hit historic highs a handful of times under him.. is just dumb. I just wouldn't bet again a conservative business man when it comes to my wallet.

I wish I had a nickel for everyone who "predicted a market crash".

I'd have retired years ago and own an island.

Blame the media.

Please share with the rest of the board. I've already stated he was fiscally conservative. What else you got.

Koch and the different foundations that he supported (funded w. a lot of money) were consistently anti-union, were against environmental regulations of any sort, anti global warming, were against gun control laws, fought entitlement programs/public assistance, wanted lower taxes. For a long time they fought against illegal immigration, but in recent years somewhat reversed on that. Most of the things I listed aren't what you would call a liberal agenda.

I think I'm at about 35% cash right now awaiting a potential meltdown.

Opportunities arise during market corrections. I'll endure a few weeks of Platinumdrg's BS on here for a 15-20% profit a few months further down the road.

I'm not concerned about what the stock market does a day, a week, a month from now. I'll be in the work force at least another 15 years, so my 401(k) won't be tapped any time soon. I have confidence in the long-term resilience of our economy and the world economy. Dow Jones is up like 40% since Trump was elected, even accounting for today's loss. It's a small ripple in a vast ocean. Stay the course. Let it ride.

The Kochs were/are basically the combination of everything bad from both parties.

I wonder if all the lefties on here are going to share the same sentiments about evil money in politics when their boss, George Soros, finally punches his ticket to the deepest darkest corner of hell.

Muh Russia muh Russia muh Russia while the entire Democrat party is on a foreigners payroll.

Traders don’t make money in a flat market. If they can’t find legit reasons to make a market volatile, they will find other reasons to make a market seem volatile.

Overturning Citizens United, cutting down with lobbying and having contribution limits would be a start. There is a lot of bad money on both sides. Let's be honest. Most politicians aren't listening to their everyday constituents.

I’m 100% on board with amending the Constitution to fix money in politics.

“Overturn Citizens United” is nails on a chalkboard. As is “overturn Roe v Wade”.

The founders gave us a way to amend the Constitution. Stacking the Court with activists is not the way.

And this is all another reason why I’m so adamantly opposed to lefties trying to build a larger, more powerful federal government.

It’s much, much cheaper to bribe a few guys in Washington to get your way than it is to find people to bribe in 50 states.

Would much prefer the Koch’s and Soros’s of the world spend their time and money flying from state to state finding people to bribe, rather than having the federal government nationalize industries so they can just post up in Washington.

Never used reddit. Is that a good place to talk politics on?

If you are a radical leftist and want to jerk off other radical leftists.

I go to reddit to see what the radical lefties are whining about. Undoubtedly, every time you go there you’ll see some wildly biased anti trump headlines on the front page. If you then sort the posts by controversial, to see everything people downvoted ( I.e. tried to suppress) you generally can find a summary of what actually happened and why the headline is complete bullshit. Basically like reading one of platinums posts, then reading his link to see he’s completely full of shot and illiterate.

Good. Trump can't back down on China

Americans have to be willing to stomach this for awhile because Trump is doing the right thing in putting China's balls to the wall right now. They are clearly trying to wait out his term because they know the Dems offer nobody who will play hardball with their antics. He needs to crush them the best he can to bring them to the table and so they can call the USA their daddy. It took years for this mess to fester. It's going to take time and someone with the guts to fix it which Trump is the only person willing to do it.

I don't post on there. But the only thing good about reddit is the_donald which you have to go to duckduckgo to find the link because liberal google has deleted it from their search.

Their politics page is nothing but socialism is paradise and orange man bad.

But the_donald is freaking awesome. But it's also under quarantine because they are red pilling all of reddit. Can't have that happening.
