If we can pick our own beans then why for over a century have we imported labor to do so? Pretty much as soon as slavery was gone we started seeking other sources of manual labor. They come because people will put them to work.
There are many US industries that rely on migrant labour - certain states were looking at “rewarding” agricultural labourers by giving them residency if they worked for so many hours over so many seasons, other states bend laws to provide “emergency” gear like tents to farmers to house workers needed for harvest time. Once upon a time the migrants went too and from Mexico with little problem. Glad for the chance of some work and gladder to go home to their families. US and Mexico both benefited. Post Vietnam, the US started much heavier control of the
border. By making it harder to get in, the US inadvertently encouraged workers who had come into the States to stay, rather than leave and risk not getting back in, a result that neither side would consider a benefit.

hey dipshit who knows nothing about history...you know who else fought a war on two fronts???? the 2 time world war champs, that's who. we had our pacific fleet decimated yet overcame it with our good ole American might and fought naval battles on two oceans, one D-Day after another island hopping in the Pacific, major air battle in multiple continents, and completely supplied what was left of the Russians keeping them from getting obliterated. You should do some research on the supply chain that kept the Russians breathing, drinking and eating. We kept the Brits alive, the rest of Asia from speaking Japanese all before landing in Normandy.
The Russians lost millions because they weren't nearly as good at warfare and mass destruction as we were. No one was. The Germans were a very distant second and we obliterated them.

Fellas, I don't know if I can continue to support Donald Trump. I had no idea he was this bad. I was wasting my time looking at things like the economy and the new respect we were demanding from NATO. If I had realized just how bad the "FEELS" were, then I would have dropped him long ago.

We don't want to pick crops, lay roofing or install sheetrock etc, not because it is demeaning work, but because it is hard work that agriculture and industry doesn't want to pay a fair and living wage for people to do it. And there are millions of illegal immigrants available to step up.
As for abortion, it absolutely does not need to be abolished. Rape and incest are no brainers. First trimester clump of cells is a no brainer. We, in no way, don't need to back to the time when women were poisoning themselves or shoving items up to try and terminate themselves. We do not need young teenage girls hiding the pregnancy in shame and shitting out a baby in some back alley and leaving it to die in some dumpster because they felt they had no other option, are too young to understand, and alone. Women should have a right, without any fear of being persecuted, to not continue on with a pregnancy that they find out early on.
I know 2 women personally who have shared to me that they had abortions. First term, felt they had no other choice, alone and scared. Both have disclosed how that decision stays with them every day of every week of their lives. One of the hardest things I have heard and they are guilt ridden and saddened but felt it was the choice they had to make. Sane women do not make this choice lightly. There is no reason to make infinitely harder on them.
Where do we draw the line? That should be a discussion. Accepting early term termination and not accepting late term termination, barring serious medical risks, should be the only things acceptable and off the table.
Find ways to make it easier for women to make the choice to keep it rather than not keep it?
