Ya Im not on board with capping someones wealth, or capping a company potential growth. I agree with the monopoly laws we have in put, I don't think we need anything else.

I think Jeff Bezos is a d bag, but I think the dude deserves every single cent he has earned. He single handily changed how people shop. Even if you don't buy from Amazon, the ease of 2 day and over night shipping was greatly pushed forward because of Amazon. I still find Amazon to be by far the best online purchasing option as well, what you can get on Amazon and the cheap prices and cheap and quick shipping is flat out amazing when you think about it.

I cant stand Mark Zuckerberg, but lets be real. The dude created a platform where billions of people were using it. If you can create something like that and find ways to advertise on it and make profit, more power to you. Same goes for Jack and Twitter.

I don't want Amazon or Jeff Bezos to be capped out. Because I still think Amazon and Bezos are still going to make massive innovations that will make our lives even easier than they are.

I also cant really think of any extremely wealthy people who just sat on their money. Gates gives a ton away, the David Packer family (from HP) funds massive research organizations, look what Musk is doing with his money and trying to go to Mars.

To me it is pretty simple. You earn it, then you deserve to get it.

Lmao. What a f*****g joke this is.

It really is. Mr Media man this is not about investigating the president. There was no reason to investigate him because they knew upfront he did nothing wrong. The made up charges and then tried to over throw him. A duly elected president had a government institutions some in the executive department attempting to throw him out of office. That my dear friend is Treason. We use to hang people for less than that.

Sorry to hear. Good luck going forward.

Layoff happened to me back in 2010 when I worked in the semiconductor industry, shortly after the financial crisis. Luckily I received 18-months advance notice. Landed a job 4 months later at 1/2 the pay. No complaints. Everything worked out.
I was laid off from a job in the semiconductor industry back in 2012. Luckily found another job in town and was working 1 month later.

@KRJ1975
Sorry John. I know it can be stressful. Good luck finding another job in the land of opportunity.

This Spikes Tactical "Snowflake" stripped lower receiver would make a perfect AR-15 build for our pro-gun libs, if there are any. Or just a great gag.

In regards to the reports about the average American's wealth.. I do think at some point a billionaire's money needs to go back to society. The first 50 billion? fine, keep it and buy your 4th airliner.. but man, do people really need the next billion after that?

I'm sure many don't already give to charities. But the reasonable side of me, and the ability to critique my own political party's values (take note, Libs), says that there's no reason for a man or woman to have $100 billion dollars to throw around.

My question on this is, what's the difference between 1 billion and 100 billion? If we are talking about need, then why does anyone "need" 1 billion dollars? This is what AOC, Warren, and Bernie are saying. 999 million is fine, but 1 billion is too much and immoral.

So who is to say 4 airliners are fine, but 5 is excessive? The second you give the government any say on what is too much, then what will stop them from continually lowering that number? If we are talking about need, my father called me up earlier this afternoon and asked if I wanted to go shooting, so we went shooting on a Friday afternoon. Who is to say someone needs the financial stability to be able to shoot shotguns no a Friday afternoon? My grandparents were very wealthy and owned multiple commercial buildings, many could've viewed their life as far excessive of what they needed.

Don't get me wrong, Im not saying going shooting on a Friday afternoon, or owning a couple buildings is the same as being worth 100 billion dollars, I understand the difference. But the main point Im making is, once you give the government power on saying "x amount of dollars is excessive and anything past that the government will keep". Guess what, you will then have people like AOC, Bernie, and Warren saying anything passed 999 million is excessive. Then 4 years after that, you could have a new person saying anything past 499 million is excessive.

I get its the slippery slope thing, but that is a thing for a reason. We have seen this way too often from both sides of the government. I definitely don't want the government deciding on a cap on how much I can make, even though I know there is a 99.99% chance it would never effect me. Its the principle of what I think what the government should be governing.

Got laid off this morning. Got a good package that should allow me to just coast for the summer before hitting the pavement hard in the fall, but it was still quite a shock. No heads up at all. 300 middle and upper management people got a nice holiday weekend present.
Sorry to hear about that, John. I’m certain that you’ll land on your feet. In the meantime, I hope you have a great summer.

The minute you start capping wealth and the government dictating how much you have, that’s the minute innovation stops. That’s the minute individuals cease to have the motivation to produce, create jobs and make progress. Quite a miserable existence if you ask me.

You didn't... if you want to have a genuine discussion, or are indeed capable of independent, critical and serious thought, you have to first start with the premise that I am aware of everything that you posted and I still don't believe there is sufficient evidence that we need significantly more wealth redistribution than we already have.

Like Quentin Tarentino, I reject your hypothesis.

For example, I already explained here in simple terms why it is the rich guy who already pays more significantly to the government, not just gross but as a total percentage of income, how we already syphon off his wealth so we can afford infrastructure and to tax the less well off less... thereby increasing their economic mobility.

You can always argue we should tax the top 20% a little more, the Kardashians way more, tax others a little less and I would be ok with that... just a complete no to your communist delusions because I am European and I know what it means. I know what your communism and your socialist democracy looks like in real life, not just all your narrow research from biased thinktanks but real experience. I don't have to ask anyone anything.

Go ahead and keep on thinking you are privy to some special knowledge, that those that oppose your delusions do so because they can't read, are intellectually inferior or selfish or simply can't grasp the necessity of your communist delusions. see where it gets you

The Gish Gallop you put out is hilarious. But, to simplify what you said, you don’t like reading.

Because you’re European? Which country? Most state their country of origin, not “I’m European.” Thats equivalent to me saying I’m North American.

Additionally, was it communist after World War II? Did it work? Just curious, I know you won’t answer.

Can’t argue facts with stupidity. I’ve told you, provided reference, and given you content from an article you referenced. I don’t mind being called delusional, but that tinfoil on your head is mighty shiny. No special knowledge, life learned information combined with factual research is free to everyone. My advice to you, you ride neutral I’m stupid too long you get stuck in it.

I think everyone knows what qualified dividends and long-term capital gains are, and how they're taxed.

Could you extrapolate on the rest of it?

Bill, I doubt that many on this board know what either is. I’m not being facetious at all.

Maybe you could explain those tax rates and how they are used, as it would be “leftist” or “communist” coming from me. I don’t mind extrapolating the rest, but some content knowledge may be helpful to more than a few.

Baller comes off as one of those people we all know who says a lot of big words to make it seem like they are smart but in reality are not very bright.

Those are big words? Lol! Coming from someone that post tweets the majority of the time, thanks I guess! You come off like one of those pre-teens we all know that spends too much time on Twitter.

Are you verified? What’s your handle? I follow back, lol!

Yes! Maybe you will go back to Canada. Tongue in cheek.

The problem with this country now is, one idiot judge can with a bias block the work of the government. When did we become a quasi dictatorship?
Something rather innovative that you may have never heard about, but our founding fathers set up three branches of government. Each branch has some authority and oversight power over the others, so one branch cannot become too powerful. It’s a novel idea. You might want to read up on it.

I’m pretty sure they didn’t expect judges to make judgements off of politics instead of law.
