They tried a bunch of times to make Trump's returns an issue. Trump kept playing the "I am being audited and I will release them after the audit" card... but now suddenly he is not releasing them at all. Strange turn. If he wanted Hillary's Wall Street transcripts then he already has them as she offered to release them for his tax returns.
If this does turn out to be Trump baiting them in some fashion then I am here and now declaring his genius to be greater than my own. Doubtful, but I guess I have to consider that remote possibility.

The whole thing is probably not bad at all, but the spin and snippets would be bad. Same for Hillary's speech transcripts. Neither candidate wants to release anything because everything can be and will be spun to look bad. There's gonna be "ah-ha" or "gotcha" things that might look bad on a 30 second ad, or for a day or week in the endless news cycle.

They (dems and repubs) need to feel like they have some tiny bit of influence and that their prejudices matter.......the fact that the people with REAL money in the country would have whomever becomes president do exactly what they're told to do is too much to handle.
