Wait so you're saying this board is far right? Compared to what? BuzzFeed? Huffington Post? The majority of things said on here are normal right leaning talking points. Poll after poll after poll shows the right pretty much has stayed still on the political spectrum while it's been the left that is moving far left and a very quick pace.
I mean you have people on the right praising Trump all the time. Trump is one of he most liberal Republican presidents we have ever have. While on the left it seems like it's a race between everyone who has declared for running for the presidency, on who can go the furthest left.
Also if you consider yourself center-left. Why come with the charade of you being a "republican"?
It's not a big deal, how far off the political spectrum you all are is the reason your ideology will be gone within our lifetimes. The Republican part is only because I was young and dumb once and registered Republican. I grew up eventually.

I appreciate you asking. It was gradual while I was in college at UK. Gay marriage was one of the huge reasons why at the time. Gay people weren't commonly out in eastern ky. I became friends with people who are gay at UK and started wondering why the Republican party was so ardently against it. I became a lot less religious and that was a large part of the right wing identity as well.
I would call myself more democrat than republican but I don't agree with any of the above items duke. Maybe it's time to reconsider. There is no doubt the Dems solution to Trump is to move further left, which is the last thing we need. Trump may go down in history as the dude who singlehandedly ended the democratic party as we have known it.

I personally think Democrat party is leaving people like you behind. I think they're going so far left to pander to minorities and the younger generation, while betting a good chunk of classical liberals will just follow them because of the D next to their name.
I think it's crazy I can come up with a list like that, and not just be taking those ideas from far left blog sites. All of those things have been backed by multiple Dems who are running or considering running for president.

No such thing as sex: the congresswoman from Minnesota said there is no difference between biological female and males. They want high schools to allow trans people to play whatever sport they want and shower in whatever bathroom because there is no difference between the sexes.

Reparations: Kamala Harris and Warren both say they are for reparations. There are two Democrats running for the presidency that are on record saying they're for it. I'm sure if you ask Gillibrand she will say yes as well.

So, just did my taxes. They are not overly complicated so I do them myself. I used last year's software using the same exact info as I am using this year. Would have owed the IRS almost $5k more last year than I do this year. State taxes were about the same both years.

I have to push back on this some (not the tweet, I agree with that 100%). But I've praised Trump many times and I've also bashed him many times on here (especially over his spending, him signing the latest spending bill and the national emergency), I've voiced my frustrations with Trump a good amount. I'm also a Duke fan from California. Yet I don't think anyone here has considered me or called me a liberal.
