The market is better at 95% of things than government. Especially when the government is any form of amoral democracy or republic. But, given what we know about what close/strong families can do for a society, I don't think you can compare encouraging that vs. some productivity numbers.

To be clear, paid leave isn't a cure-all, we're a rotting society that needs all kinds of fixes. But, I can't imagine how family bonding in early childhood would be a net negative, even when taking into account the economic downside.

We have varying levels of paid leave as it is. More progressive companies offer extended paternity leave. It's a global market and US companies have to compete with European companies that offer up to a year of paid leave.

The market itself will fix this issue.

So what are those few jobs?

Perhaps the most important feature of that list is that it’s short. It was intended to be short. James Madison in Federalist 45 explained the concept of federalism—“The powers delegated ... to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite.”

Maybe it will. It's entirely possible. I'm just saying market forces aren't the end all be all, especially when it comes to issues outside of mere productivity. Like I said, it's difficult, because we live in a (classical) liberal, amoral state, and that makes it hard to use government for moral good, but it's not entirely impossible.

And just to take the moral issue out of it, look at what Trump is doing with steel production. The market was not going to correct for our lack of domestic steel production. Why? Because the market can't account for a unique situation in which the productivity of a certain industry would need to be placed in a secondary or tertiary role of importance (like a war or long term trade war).

Making copies of classified documents is not the same thing as recording conversations. Nixon recorded dozens of classified conversations, how many was he charged with? Same with Reagan, most likely the same with Clinton but they were never able to compel him to release anything.

I am going to concede that you are likely right...not because it is not criminal to record classified information without disclosure, but because it appears Omarosa had no security clearance and the conversation she had does not appear to have included classified information (just her being fired), regardless of the location where the recording took place (though it was a gross violation of protocol).

Many of us have 401ks that are growing because of this. Wages are up, but socialists think wages should be up the same amount as earnings? Is that what's "wrong"?

He has a bad habit of arguing about legal issues based on some half-assed treatment in Vox or on MSNBC. Here, he apparently saw something about wire-tap laws - most states only require the consent of one person in a conversation to record, some states require the consent of both parties. Takes that one fairly simple nugget and applies it to a very specific situation, makes a bad conclusion and then draws lines in the sand. But honestly, once you've bought in to the idea that there are 76 different sexes, is anything outlandish?
