They're talking about the Yahoo news article which Steele was the source. Steele was the "well placed Western intelligence source" being referred to. He was feeding info from his dossier to the FBI and media at the same time. The FBI used the news article as a corroborating source.
Basically they recycled the same info making it seem like there was multiple sources and they used this as corroborating evidence even though the source was actually the same exact person (Steele) for both.
