Clear the democrats/socialists are, for the purposes of the midterm elections, going to make Kennedy’s replacement all about abortion. All of the things facing the country, all of the constitutional questions a nominee should be asked....and all we have heard from democrat politicians and the MSM media today is, what does this mean for abortion...abortion, abortion, abortion...I shouldn’t be, but I’m continually shocked how much the left in this country loves killing babies.

Last convention, they had women come out and proudly ‘shout their abortion’ like it was a badge of honor. I swear I think by 2028, the Democratic nominee will come out with a fetus necklace on.

The liberal guy I talk to is convinced the right has went further right and that crazies on the left you see aren’t representative of the left’s mainstream views. Yeah, that’s bullshit. They all back the same crazy train.

How anyone can look at the Democrat Party today and say it’s the same as 1996 is oblivious. They have went way to the left.

Abortion is the ending of a human life. Any other pragmatic arguments for or against are moot. You don't make it legal to end human life at will. Period.

I'm NOT a proponent of late term abortions. To me, if a woman finds out she is pregnant and does not want to carry it to term, she should know that pretty quickly. Being pregnant is a colossal PITA - why would anyone purposely carry a fetus for 6+ months then abort it? Makes no sense. I'd be totally fine with limiting legal term to the first trimester. At that point, the fetus is completely dependent on the mother for life - basically a parasite (yes, I realize that sounds like a harsh term but by definition it fits perfectly.)

The majority in the country are in favor of abortion being legal but I'd guess the majority of that majority would be fine with a shorter legal term. Anyone who is a proponent of late term or partial birth abortion for reasons other than to save the mother's life are sick folks in my book. Currently, about 88% of abortions happen in the first trimester and only 1.5% after 21 weeks. Limit it to 12 weeks and I'd be fine with it.

I have said for years that I am OK with abortion. I didn't know about late term abortion during that time. Once I started thinking about that, I changed my mind.

I found myself making a distinction between that early period of conception and that late period of development of a fetus. I didn't change my religious views. They remain virtually nonexistent. What changed was my critical thought.

With a little bit of critical thought, the democratic creed would wither away. When you realize a contradiction in your thought on a subject. Rethink your thought.

Does anyone have a link to a democrat trying to calmly explain why Trump is still the Antichrist? I watched Sam Harris on the Rubin Report, and besides the psychedelic conversation at the end, I was very disappointed. His point was a nuanced distinction between outright lying and just talking shit. He conceded that politicians lie, but try to be consistent with their lies, while Trump just talks shit meaning one statement need not follow from the last. Because of that there's a non-zero chance at an accidental nuclear holocaust, just because he happened to go down a certain trail of lies at the wrong time. Less abortions are happening now and at lower rates than were happening when Roe v Wade was first decided. Making it illegal won't make it go away, which is why that law isn't getting overturned. It will simply make it more dangerous to have them.

Also - hardcore Christian logic = anyone who has an abortion is a devil worshipping left winger. If that's truly the case, and if making abortion illegal will stop them from happening, which hardcore Christians also think, then they should thank their lucky stars that it's been legal for 40 years, otherwise there would be 60 million more devil worshipping left wingers running around right now.
