No doubt in my mind Trump and Mitch has known about Kennedy retiring for a good while and already have their pick lined up. Some have said Trey Gowdy may be it and was the reason he did not seek re-election, but my guess is they have their eyes on a bigger prize. Laugh my ass off if it was Ted Cruz.
Gowdy would be the best. Please, God (I'm not religious.). let it be Trey.

Prediction: Very soon and through the election you'll start to see media "analyses" about how the Supreme Court size can be easily changed to 11 or 13 members if Democrats take Congress and elect a president in 2020.

Technically all it takes is a vote by Congress on a bill and a president's signature -- and ignoring 150 or so years of precedence. FDR tried it but didn't pull it off.
Yes, but Dems were reasonable, intelligent people back then. Hell, my parents were Dems then.

You know, I;m still a registered non-partisan in KY. I was so POed when Pubs nominated Drumpf that I switched from Pubs. Fortunately I gained some intelligence Nov. 6, 2016.

Admit it, I was pretty gd STUPID when I was younger.

He had my vote ever since he brought up illegals. Only Republican to have the sack to do so.

I knew we had no choice with a Cruz/Rubio type and I detest the Bush family.

They started a month ago, before these latest losses and Kennedy retirement, certain that Democrats were taking back the House and Senate.

Democrats: Prepare to Pack the Supreme Court

I was wondering something tonight over a beer - how many special places are there in hell? Seems like the cool thing to say now anytime someone disagrees with someone else that there is a special place in hell for that person. If there are that many, they can't really be that special, right?

Are they segregated from other hellions? Is it like solitary confinement only with fire and brimstone? These are questions that need answering.

I am going to target him. Just bought a 4 pack pillow special on his website.

If there was ever a guy who I don't know but who am sure is a raging pedo, it's the My Pillow guy. The crucifix is the telltale sign there. Total deflection piece.

**** Congressional Democrats. That party's treatment of Bork and Clarence T. was reprehensible and they and the rest of those lunatics deserve every conservative judge who gets nominated and appointed by whatever means necessary. IMO.

Clear the democrats/socialists are, for the purposes of the midterm elections, going to make Kennedy’s replacement all about abortion. All of the things facing the country, all of the constitutional questions a nominee should be asked....and all we have heard from democrat politicians and the MSM media today is, what does this mean for abortion...abortion, abortion, abortion...I shouldn’t be, but I’m continually shocked how much the left in this country loves killing babies.

Last convention, they had women come out and proudly ‘shout their abortion’ like it was a badge of honor. I swear I think by 2028, the Democratic nominee will come out with a fetus necklace on.

Because unless they're impeached, Fed judgeships are lifetime appointments - which is why I think there should be an amendment to limit them to somewhere between 15 & 30 years. Would also reduce senility in decisions.
It was a rhetorical question, but I agree. No way there should be some 86 year old bitch ruling on the lives of all of us. Not one of us knows an 86 year old person who is as much on the ball as a 50 year old.

Less abortions are happening now and at lower rates than were happening when Roe v Wade was first decided. Making it illegal won't make it go away, which is why that law isn't getting overturned. It will simply make it more dangerous to have them.

Also - hardcore Christian logic = anyone who has an abortion is a devil worshipping left winger. If that's truly the case, and if making abortion illegal will stop them from happening, which hardcore Christians also think, then they should thank their lucky stars that it's been legal for 40 years, otherwise there would be 60 million more devil worshipping left wingers running around right now.
