More on the coin flips of the Dem Iowa race....I knew she won several, had no idea she went 6 for 6! The statistic possibility of winning 6 straight coin flips is gotta be in the trillions. Yeah I double down on my call from this morning, her side slipped in some funny silver for that action.

Was this the coin that was used?

Clinton Donated $100K to New York Times Group the Same Year Paper Endorsed Her

and

Hillary Clinton Has The Most Statistically Improbable Coin-Toss Luck Ever
DES MOINES, Iowa — One of the most bizarre details to emerge from Monday’s Iowa caucuses was that in six Democratic counties, the ownership of six delegates was decided by a coin flip.

A single delegate remained unassigned at the end of caucusing in two precincts in Des Moines, one precinct in Ames, one in Newton, one in West Branch and one in Davenport, The Des Moines Register reported.

In all six instances, the coin toss was won by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.

It's almost like it's fixed. heh. You know, at a time when the electorate is convinced the system is rigged against them, this might not be your best candidate......Hillary really is a bad candidate. Everyone sees the name Clinton, knows about the political machinery, clout, connections - it really is a vast conspiracy -- that the Clintons have at their disposal.....and assumes she's this formidable monster candidate. She's not, she's actually pretty bad. Now, she does have all that machinery, she may win because of demographics or vote patterns or ineptitude on the other side, or whatever. It's like when Cal loses a bunch of players to the draft and the current high school senior class is weak. The next year, we struggle. The jersey still says UK, still have Cal and all the resources and tradition, etc. But it's not quite the same........

New Deal?....goodness, the branding never stops.

Lost in all the dreaminess of what govt needs to be doing is the cold reality of what govt is capable of doing.

BTW, Bin Laden was huge Chomsky fan. Praised and quoted him all the time. His compound had several of his books. Who said the below, Chomsky or daboss? lol

The second is to do away with the American democratic system of government. "It has now become clear to you and the entire world the impotence of the democratic system and how it plays with the interests of the peoples and their blood by sacrificing soldiers and populations to achieve the interests of the major corporations."
Hitler was a Nietzsche fan. Nietzsche despised antisemitism. There are a lot of Adam Smith fans butchering and misinterpreting his work. Weak, weak, weak ass attempt to discredit someone. Also you're going to remove something from context, with no other reference of Chomsky's thoughts on democracy, in another attempt to discredit the man? Please man. You might be the most vile person on this board. Seriously and despicably vile.

Where is the line between "I know you disagree with my politics and the things I want to have done, but I love this country too and everything I do and say is an honest attempt to make things better" vs "I hate this freaking place, it's inherently evil, I'd like to leave just before a meteor obliterates the whole country"? Cause it seems to me Chomsky crossed that line some time back.....

I am convinced that you can accomplish whatever the eff you want if you own the media. Just like how libs are so brainwashed especially the college-aged ones to automatically trash Fox (whether it's deserved or not) they simply don't see the brainwashing that is already occurring to them in academia, Hollywood, Daily Show, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, NYT and more.

Just like the Soviets used The Pravda to brainwash the masses and Nazi Germany used films, newspapers and radio to brainwash their people into believing an ideology, we do the same exact thing. We act like we're above it but you can seriously convince people of anything if they're told it enough times.

Badge of Honor daboss.... you pretty much discredited yourself when you championed no borders and blamed US intel on not stopping the France attacks. You got some effed up views of this country for sure. Keep those Chomsky vids coming tho. You're my guy though Boss if I starting burning again, k?

Vile. Burning? Wtf does that even mean? I don't smoke pot. I don't do drugs. Another weak ass attempt to discredit someone. Loathe your existence.

I don't even know what a Noam chomsky is. I hear that name a lot, but have no clue what he is for.

Isn't it just (0.5)^6 = 1.5625%? Been a while, but that looks about right. Maybe they used an NFL coin:

There's reality with its subtlety and degrees, and then there's HeismanWildcat85 with absolute equivalences. "Only a Sith deals in absolutes." - a wise man from fiction (not an Ayn Rand character, though, although this work is actually appropriate for 8th and 9th graders).

I'm saying we do similar tactics. We have brainwashing propaganda at every turn. It's just not as extreme yet because you can't go from 0-100 that quickly without blowback. It comes with time and it's just an easing into that desired stage one step at a time. With my examples of the Pravda and Nazi Germany are extreme but they were both used to push a cause and demonize another group. In our country, we demonize conservatives and have portrayed anyone who disagrees with Dems as bigots, racists, greedy old white men, sexist, xenophobes, etc.

Just look how much we have changed from the 80s to now where we have a huge part of the population backing a guy like Bernie Sanders.

Skip showering for 4-5 days, get some good herb, put on some Lou Reed background music and start googling.

hahaha, well I do like some good herb. I ain't gonna lie. But I hate Lou reed's music and I shower twice a day.

Pretty clear I meant the soldiers that went and fought 75 years ago, good grief. Offended on behalf of your muse (or vice versa). Jesus (pun intended).

So, centrist Chomsky fan?

you having problems keeping up with your own GD argument? You posted idocy about Hitler which I replied to. Perhaps its time for a Palin GIF or a scholastic rathole ramble?
I have no problem keeping up, I just keep busting your dumb ass arguments. You made a dumbass argument about chomsky and real christians, then you got busted. Dont back track now.

Just keep making your hyperbolic posts...

You rival Crow in declaring yourself a winner and/or superior but never actually showing it. All marketing.

Just to be clear, and I surely don't have any problems being blunt and don't run from viewpoints... you made a random strawman of Hitler and Christianity that had no comparable context to what I was (mostly teasing) talking about NC. That is what I replied to. Believe that or don't. I certainly don't meddle in modern Christianity stuff. You do have a history here with the Hitler/Christianity angle, have at that solo.

And my view of Chomsky is this....he has interesting views if you were starting a society from scratch but in general he peddles myopic theories that aren't applicable or reasonable but are lapped up by the young and naive.

I declare myself the winner and superior.

So basically he wants to punish companies who hide their money overseas and give it to poor Americans?

Yes but you have to understand, he words it as if he is doing them a favor so they will be happy to receive this tax. And young poor idiots eat it up like syrup sandwiches.

yea, you miss a lot.

<pats you on head>

I understand the dislike some of you have for social conservatives. Couple of serious questions.
1) are most social conservatives also fiscal conservatives?
2) would lincoln have been considered a social conservative in 1860?
In politics, conservative can mean several things:
  • A preference for keeping things the same/minimizing change.
  • A preference for small government and/or minimal government involvement in the economy.
  • A preference for minimal federal government power; when possible, states should have more power to make their own decisions.
  • A preference for free market solutions.

Lincoln's strong opposition to slavery was the defining position and ideology that he acted upon as President, and this opposition was inconsistent with any of the above definitions of conservatism.

I guess you could say that Lincoln's pro-Union preference meant that he wanted to preserve the nation / the sovereign definition of the United States. So maybe this could be construed as conservative.

But Lincoln's strong, ideological opposition to slavery was clearly not "conservative." Lincoln wanted slavery banned, which was a radical change given the political context of the 1860s. And it's important to note that the Union could have been preserved more easily and expediently if Lincoln had been willing to relax his anti-slavery position.

Actually the odds of 6 straight coin flips going your way are 1.5625%... so 1 out of 64.
It does smell rather rotten.

So the people with a core of being fiscally responsible are a danger to humanity? That's essentially what republicans are supposed to be about. Look if Trump ties the R to himself it doesn't truly make him a republican.

Just like Bernie being a democrat even though he is truly a socialist.
