Some Republicans saying this will hurt the many people that voted for Trump and leave them unable to afford insurance. Which is correct?

They base that on the failed efforts of trying to do this before. I believe they reference KY in the late 80's and early 90's actually. However if you look into it I believe at the time because we were the only state executing the effort we didn't have full support from bordering states.

I could be wrong, and possibly way off as I didn't research that and going off what I think I remember as a teenager.

So what happened to moe schmoe? Get banned too?

Nah, I'm still here. Been making an effort to try to keep up with the thread by stopping by and reading every few days, but haven't really had much internet free time lately.

I've been super busy out on the water and deep in the woods. The winter shrimp run has started, plus I've been gearing up/scouting, trying to get ready for the upcoming Turkey season next month.

Documents uncovered regarding Clinton/lynch tarmac meeting.

Harris Faulkner says "this is a game changer."

Watching the trump/McConnell presser it seems something has changed.

I'm Not convinced, but optimistic that we may now see the Rs get behind the Trump agenda. They must be seeing something that had lit a fire under their ass.. I think they may finally realize that we will turn on their ass quick.

McConnell seemed genuine. I hope it lasts.

Didn't they try that already in Liberia?

Yes. This doesn't get brought up enough. One of the biggest mistakes our nation ever did was participate in the slave trade. Honestly think how much different things would be if that never happened.

Would've altered everything.

Koch Brothers and Bannon threatening them would be my guess but good deal. Hope this will result in Trump getting his agenda moving forward.

The whole charade with Mitch today just goes to show how much influence he knows Bannon has. Trump is just playing the game because all he cares about is getting his agenda through.

Man Rescued from Taliban Didn't Believe Donald Trump Was President.

A Canadian man rescued from a Taliban-linked group in Afghanistan last week said he thought his captors were joking when they told him Donald Trump had been elected president of the United States.

Joshua Boyle and his wife, Caitlin Coleman, were kidnapped and held by the Haqqani network — whose leader is the deputy head of the Afghan Taliban — for five years and one day.

Boyle and Coleman were rarely given any information on the outside world during their time in captivity. They didn't even know Justin Trudeau was prime minister of Canada, for example, until after they were rescued. But when Boyle was forced to participate in a "proof-of-life" video, one of the captors told him Donald Trump had been elected President of the United States. At the time, Boyle essentially took this comment as a joke.......

[laughing]

If that' the reasoning, fine by me...but isn't he not up for a while?

Idk, but the people have been really talking about finally ending his old ass, and campaigning never stops.

*i kind of used to think like a responsible voter who believed in responsible govt like "hey man, I'm gonna vote for the best candidate for the job, regardless of party!". That sounds cool and mature....

Until you realize there is nothing cool or mature about politics and the two parties are so split and polarized that you're either left or right. You're either for America or The World. You're for economic freedom or for redistribution of wealth.

Basically, idgaf what Mitch does, until a true American with views like Trump comes for his job, wtf are we gonna do? Vote Matt Jones???
