Has to beat 50+% or it goes to runoff. In runoff it will be 1v1 and Dems have put a ton of effort in already, might've blown their wad.

In a special election such as this, a challenger has to win the majority (more than 50%) or the two top vote getters square off in a one on one election.

Which brings up an interesting question, should SC justices receive a lifetime appointment or should there be a mandatory retirement age? I'd be good with setting the retirement age at 75.
Prople would be ok with manadory Supreme Court Justice retirement if their party were in a majority. No if in the minority.
I'd also be ok with mandatory bi annual mental competency testing after 70 to determine fitness for duty.
It is expected to be Kennedy, the swing vote. Put a Scalia clone in Kennedy's place and you have still moved the court to the right. Yeah, Ruthie isn't leaving while Trump is in office unless heath gets in the way.
I would be in favor of one 20 year term for Supreme Ct. justices.
