You knew the meme makers would be active with the faces the CBS lady made and her silly questions that Vance destroyed yesterday:

It took hundreds of millions/billions of dollars to get to a point they could develop this model for millions. The claim it took less than $10 million or whatever they’re saying is misleading. Companies can’t just start developing their own models with limited investment.

That’s not to say this wasn’t a market shattering advancement. Open source is likely the future given the companies (and China) who’ve seemingly committed to it. Value is going to be in the data, and more focused models.
Elon and others agree with you, btw.

Every time the Libs bring up Jan 6th pardons, make sure to use this example. A man will be released from prison in July...he killed an 8 year old and the child's mother to keep her quiet. The case was so bad the state of Connecticut created an entirely new witness protection program. Biden set him free.

Also, here is one anytime sam talks about taxpayer money. I seriously doubt with their affinity for goats, they ever bother with condoms.

"U.S. law forbids taxpayer funds from going to the Taliban, a specially designated global terrorist organization."

I see the next wave of npc messaging is again trying to tie trump to project 2025. Its hilarious because the libs are so out of touch. Literally noone cares. If anything, we hope he is executing that plan because its full of common sense ideas getting rid of the insanity.

Good catch and something i didn't consider. So the impact would mostly be messaging because youd have to make over $7 an hour and work 40 hours per week to exceed that amount. Probably not many under 18 working that many hours.

Could greatly impact things if they extend it to all under 18. If HS dropouts started working in a trade/apprenticeship before they turned 18, this would be a great incentive

They can’t twist Trump’s words against him this way. No bleach or fine people hoaxes. Admittedly, he mangles things. Trump’s people know that the typical NPC like shinbone really only cares about Trump and have practically no reactions to people like Vance or Homan.

Somebody on Trump’s team has done a lot of planning. The whole thing has been masterful, especially compared to the recent clownshow.
Well said.

I've been reading into this a bit and watching some videos. I wanted to post it in the Car thread we had going, but I'll post it here. Curious to see what people think, but it sure seems like the auto industry might be the first domino to fall in a recession.

The cool thing about the economy right now is that we have a huge lever which is lowering interest rates in case there is a recession. You could drop that mofo to 3% and car (and home sales) will likely go way up.

For sure. But watch that video. The problem is that these new vehicles are just insanely overpriced. Now will lowering interest rates create an environment where new cars will be cheaper to produce? Im sure it will. But these prices have to come WAY down. Lowering the interest rate from 6% to 5% isn't going to move the needle. That's like a $15-25/month difference on a car loan that's nearing $1,000

They are called Palestinians because their ancestors lived in the British Mandate. Are 100% from that area? No. As is true of any nation. But overwhelmingly so to the point of saying they are from the British Mandate? Yes. But there is no reason to think they should go/be removed to a muslim majority country than to anywhere else. Egypt nor Jordan owe them nothing more than the US does. Why don't you think moving them are to Moloki in Hawaii is equally good? Remove the 8K people that live there & the Gazans have more room there than they do today & couldn't bother anyone.

Hey, DA! Did you know the British Mandate includes Jordan? Go fckn read something for a change. Look at a map.

Also, DA, how many people lived somewhere else before they were sent packing as an ENTIRE FKNG SOCIETY? Doesn't mean sht to be from somewhere or for your ancestors to live there. If you try to fight the people that NOW live there to "send them into the sea" and LOSE, you're FCKD. Most of the people that call themselves Palestinian did just that and many were kicked out.

Israel let them back in and they can kick them out again. That's up to them. That's what happens when you go to war against people and LOSE. Happened to my ancestors on 3-4 continents. I'm not btchn about it because I'm not a DA.

I'll hang up and wait for you to move the goalposts....

Our border agents were just fired upon by the cartel.

"Border Patrol agents near Fronton, TX were fired upon from MX by suspected cartel gunmen as a group of illegal aliens were being brought across the river. I’m told BP returned fire, nobody hit on either side, and that the illegal aliens did not make it across."

4 years later.

Everyday you're getting closer to death and every day you are worried to death about old news.

There's nothing you can do.

Oh, now I see why sam can't stop his outrage
These pardons are not old news.
Meanwhile y'all still bitch about Bill, Hillary, and Obama.
Pot meet kettle.

Elon and others agree with you, btw.

Gavin Baker had the most informative take on the topic of Deepseek specifically.

I’ve been of the mindset that the open source models would be more valuable for specific business cases, and real value would be in proprietary data for a while.

In professional services, I think the value over the next few years is going to be helping businesses understand and implement the technologies that will eventually eliminate the need for some outside professionals.

They didn't serve their time.
They were pardoned/released early and are now walking the streets believing they have the President's blessing to beat the crap out of cops so long as it's for him.
You're a cop hating idiot if you are ok with that.
Lots of people who get pardoned don't serve their full time. I don't know the exact numbers but a small number of the worst offenders were given a commuted sentence rather than a pardon.

Many of the J6 prisoners have been imprisoned for years in deplorable conditions. You're setting the strawman on fire to equate support for pardons with assaulting police officers. You're the most butthurt anti-Trump poster on this board and it's not even close.

But if these are such peaceful immigrants coming in.. women and children.. why would they have to shoot at us at all?

Imagine someone coming to your door to rob you, and they start firing at you, and you just let them in because "hey, they deserve my stuff as much as I do".. that's essentially how a liberal sees this.

Cartels are very dangerous and vicious, but they have never came across the likes of the US military hunting them down. Their leaders are as good as gone if or when Special Forces go after them. They better think long and hard about poking the bear. My biggest fear is what they unleash inside the US. A lot of cartel cells all over the country.

I think the worst thing to happen in the past ten years was governmental agencies funding gain of function research developing a virus that leaked from a lab, then coerced censorship of all data in favor of the popular narrative then attempting to force the entire population to inject themselves with experimental gene therapy.

So no, I don’t trust these agencies. Your average podcaster has a better track record over the past decade.

It’s not that you can’t trust the government agencies. You can trust they’ve been captured by the industries upon which they’re supposed to be serving as a watchdog. You can trust they’re working on behalf of pharma, ag, etc., certainly not the American people.
Does a Trump presidency correct this, in your mind?

Part of the problem I see, is dealerships even though they knew demand was down, and people were hurting, were still trying to sell vehicles for max profit. I have been looking for a bit now but have just backed off continuing to drive older models hoping they will continue to function until I can afford a new vehicle. Hoopties are good for everyday driving but not so for long trips.
