Look. I am all for fiscal responsibility. Statistically, Biden created a smaller national debt than any President since Clinton. I am for Trump and Musk calling out BS giveaways.
But Trump can't have it both ways. He can't trash agreements he had no part in negotiating and then call for the lifting of the debt ceiling for when he enters office so he can run up the debt again.
That's the crap he does that created more debt than Carter.

I have been through a few government shutdowns as a civil servant and military and can tell you that the military plus air traffic controllers are essential personnel and continue to get paid. I don't care what some idiot is trying to tell the public. Plus, those people who are furloughed (term used during that time for non-essentials) have been paid after government makes a deal. They use these scare tactics to get people like shin to cry "somebody help us."

A student who finishes zero schoolwork normally receives a zero for a grade in return. That is not the case anymore in this public school system.

Our district begins punishing students once teachers notify students/parents/admin that they have 3 or more missing assignments. Usually they have to serve break detention each week until they get the number down.
Once they are failing a class, they have the option of going to ESS Tuesday and Thursdays or the punitive ASD on Fridays. If a kid is failing multiple classes for multiple 9 weeks, we look at alternative placement.
Teachers across this state are busting their asses, but when local government decides to take it easy on truancy, this problem will persist. I’ve got two students that have already missed 20+ days.
