Vivek on the bill: "But also laid bare the massive lift ahead next year"

Ultimately, we weren't going to go from decades of a shitty Washington to a good one very quickly. I don't think Vivek and Elon (DOGE) had any illusions about that. I suspect the bill in it's current form is ever so slightly better than the original one, and that was done without Trump being in power.

Trump takes the reins of power in a month....and then...and not until then were we ever going to be able to find out if any sort of true fiscal sanity can happen in Washington. It seems to me the Republicans in Congress are broken up into 3 factions, and it is always nearly impossible to get them truly united when it matters. I'm afraid ultimately any truly big things Trump get done will have to be done by sidestepping Congress,

The good news is Congress has being giving away a lot of it's power to a massive unelected bureaucracy for decades. Go to work stripping that unelected bureaucracy of the power they aren't suppose to have which I think is a big plan of Vivek's and Elon's.

Great post. Bravo. Great post

That recent @Girthang post was great too

And SDC always killing it

But Front that is very very true

They aren't even in a real position yet, as 20 Jan still isn't here. Given that, they have done WONDERS.

Government shutdown avoided which seems to be a bad thing since the are going to try to pin a shutdown on a Trump regime. Johnson is done IMO.
Huh? Johnson got it done.

Besides, are Pubs going to replace him between Jan. 3 & Trump certification Jan. 6 (With whom?) or is the fight over Speaker going past Jan. 6 & Trump delayed?

Facts are a tough thing for Cult 45/47ers. Biden produced half the debt Trump did.
Oh really?
The inflation explosion act is not even fully funded yet. On purpose.
There is a reason you fools lost.
Recognize.
These d bags are selling our fencing, just to fugg the new administration.
That is one of the lowest things I have ever seen. Say you hate the citizens, without saying......

Assimilation is nothing more than a liberal, woke fantasy. Sure, some will “assimilate” in their new surroundings, but when you have a mass migration of individuals with vastly different sets of values, cultures, and beliefs, there is always going to a significant percentage of them who simply bring all of this with them, they will never change, and they eventually expect those in their new surrounding to adopt THEIR values, culture, and beliefs… not the other way around. And if you don’t, well… then we see the results.

Read again.... Read slow.... Or get someone to read it to you.
That's the same thing I always told my special ed kids.
"If there is a government shutdown after tonight the U.S. military’s military operations overseas and domestically will continue, but U.S. military service members won’t be paid during that time."
" Nearly 13,000 air traffic controllers would be expected to work without pay, and hiring and training new air traffic controllers would cease during a shutdown"
" It's worth noting that air traffic controllers played a part in ending the government shutdown in 2019, when several workers called in sick on the same day, snarling air traffic."
" An estimated 60,971 employees with U.S. Customs and Border Protection and 17,575 employees with Immigration and Customs Enforcement would be asked to work without pay during a shutdown"
Bullshyte. Essential workers are just that.
Cry more.
Shut it down

Just a routine trip down memory lane.

Biden isn’t pardoning his son. He’s made that clear. He didn’t blast the judge on Twitter. There aren’t people outside the court today going crazy saying the verdict was rigged. One side accepts the rule of law. The other only cares about whatever Trump wants and will do anything he says.
