Ultimately, we weren't going to go from decades of a shitty Washington to a good one very quickly. I don't think Vivek and Elon (DOGE) had any illusions about that. I suspect the bill in it's current form is ever so slightly better than the original one, and that was done without Trump being in power.
Trump takes the reins of power in a month....and then...and not until then were we ever going to be able to find out if any sort of true fiscal sanity can happen in Washington. It seems to me the Republicans in Congress are broken up into 3 factions, and it is always nearly impossible to get them truly united when it matters. I'm afraid ultimately any truly big things Trump can get done will have to be done by sidestepping Congress,
The good news is Congress has being giving away a lot of it's power to a massive unelected bureaucracy for decades. Go to work stripping that unelected bureaucracy of the power they aren't suppose to have which I think is a big plan of Vivek's and Elon's.
