I agree with argubs2, it comes down to turnout when you have such shitty candidates. It could not be clearer that the Dems are more willing to do ethical gymnastics to support the team. E.G. deee will flip from "chipmunk" to her being a moderate very soon now that Biden won't bail him out.
Well it really isn't her money. Do you think Trump, no matter what he's said about financing his own campaign, is going to keep up with her spending using his own money? Nah.
Jeb already has the lion's share of the establishment's donors. I'm sure he'll get some donors but no one in the GOP establishment will ever take him seriously. You're seeing him fly in the polls right now because of the novelty factor and the general hatred the American public has for politicians.
One of two things will happen with Trump. He's going to say something very stupid and knock himself out (which is my guess) or, he's going to balk at having to buy himself into the nomination.
It makes me absolutely sick we're still talking about Trump, even at this point a year away.
Trump keeps saying things that you would think might get him into trouble with Republican voters, like putting some of the blame for 9-11 on G. W. Bush. Maybe deep down his supporters agree with him?
Trump's problem is that most of those who support him or would support him, already do. He is at or near his ceiling at < 30%. The GOP really needs to pair their field down to 3 or 4 candidates and allow a majority to get behind one candidate.
That all said, I still have a hard time believing that Hillary can be elected...just a harder time seeing any of the GOP candidates doing the same.
Still, it is a virtual forever before Nov, 2016 and anything can happen. Regardless, I fully expect that the next POTUS will be a one term-er.
I think Trump could pick up a boat load of voters with a running mate that was Black. The republican voters that are Christians would be interested in electing a fellow Christian. If it's trump and Carson together then the democrats will not win. When Carson talks he makes sense and most Americans can easily relate to him. The two compliment the others weakness, the two appeal to two different audiences and those two audiences cover most Americans. That's what I see.
What I see happening is as more and more of the establishment type Republicans in single digits drop out, that support will coalesce around one mainstream candidate like Kasich or maybe a hybrid candidate like Rubio. Eventually Trump will absorb a large part of Carson's support when he eventually drops out. Then what's left will be Trump and an Anti-Trump. The winner gets the nomination.
Tomorrow will go a long way towards The Chipmunk's future. If she does well in the hearings she may be able to get the nomination but if she blows up or if new and damaging information on her server situation is uncovered she could be in real hot water and the Dems will have to scramble for a Plan B since Bernie is too liberal to make it to the endzone IMO.

I'm not afraid to say it. That's the only group we should be afraid of coming into our country. They have never improved any place or assimilated into any country. What they do is take over a big section and then expect you to adapt to their beliefs.History and modern day speak volumes of Muslim beliefs/actions.

Congressional hearings are designed in a way that much benefits the witness. back and forth, each side giving way to the other for questioning - you can't develop a rhythm in your line of questions. You ask a tough question, then give way to someone on the other side who lobs a softball to rehab the witness. Nothing ever comes of congressional testimony.....
I think in a normal year, Rubio would pretty clearly be the most electable Republican. And you can tell that by the way Hilary has zeroed in on him from the beginning - he's the one they are worried about. Young, energetic, Hispanic, gifted communicator of conservative ideals. Has a certain star quality. In a normal year - once the haze lifted and the number of candidates dwindled so that it's digestible and the people started to focus - in a normal year, he's the best candidate, and I don't think it's close. But it's not a normal year.

Dee, as usual with our polarized political environment these days, the truth is in the middle. Yes, these hearings are political in nature, given that Hillary is running for president, and was also secretary of state during the Benghazi raid. I don't dispute that.
But only in part.
It's very clear when you read '13 Hours', that those people asked for, and didn't get the security they needed. I chalk that up to incompetence.
What happened afterward, the lie about the cause of the attack, was a giant political lie, to make sure 'Bin Laden is dead, and GM is alive' lived on, and Obama was re-elected, and Hillary is preserved for 2016.

Truth. The Muslims in my chemistry classes were known for stealing chemicals from the lab for their terrorist plots. One TA actually got kicked out for being racist because he tried to keep a Muslim out of the lab. He probably saved thousands and his reward was expulsion by liberal progressives obsessed with diversity and multiculturalism. It's a shame, really.
