Actually, it was your own man Biden who clearly said he was choosing a woman and she has to be black. Which is the most racist AND sexist thing ive heard openly said in politics.
As for the rest, who cares about skin color? Just do your job and quit begging for special treatment. Reminds me of people who say we chased Tubby off because he was black. Nobody cares, just win, earn it.

Well, the Republicans are going to hold the house (in fact, they're probably going to expand their majority) The Senate is probably 55/45 odds to switch back to Republican control.

I think that's the least of their significance. Who runs the government for at least the next two years is way more important imo.

The Senate must choose between the two top electoral vote recipients, with at least two-thirds of the Senate’s members voting.”
Based on the demographics of the open seats, and the ratio of how many seats each party has to defend. You know how that goes in cycles.

I actually agree with you on all points. I have no problem with Biden picking a poc or woman, but it's best just to say who you picked and list all the reasons you chose them except skin color or gender. It's time to move past that generally speaking.

That said... Trump and the right wing media have said plenty about Kamala's racial identity and DEI label that was unproductive and unnecessary.
Both parties need to do better imo.

Hiring and/or placing POC in important positions in a multicultural/multi race society only makes sense.
Sometimes a person's background and life experiences can be just as beneficial to a job as the nuts and bolts on the resume.
For example, if you are hiring teachers to work in an inner city school and you have multiple candidates of multiple races. Even if ALL the white kids have higher ACT scores/better GPAs etc....It benefits a school like that to have the kids see a teacher that looks like them, speaks their language (so to speak), and relates better to them culturally. That teacher could very well serve as a role model and inspiration to break the cycle of poverty and gang affiliation better than the white dude with a 4.0 GPA.
DEI still has it's place in society.
Of course Trump is going to attack her on certain race questions. She sides with whoever she's talking to. If she's talking to Mexico, she'd be Mexican. She's too radical, and her team is doing a fantastic job hiding her lack of knowledge by not allowing ANY in depth interviews.
