I disagree. The gloves and Fuhrman had nothing to do with it. The jurors were going to let him go regardless. Didn't some of them admit years later that it was a time for the black community to get back at Whitey because of Rodney King? Even if they didn't admit it (and I am pretty sure they did), that is what happened. Similar thing here - no way Trump was going to be judged fairly by that jury and court. A person can hate Trump and say he is Hitler or even worse, but should still be able to say justice was not done.

A man runs on the promise he is going to get Trump and in the city where he is elected on those promises, they sit a jury to adjudicate the case the man brings against Trump. Not hard to make an argument that the political prosecution could never fairly be tried in that city from that jury pool. Maybe a jury of people not registered to vote? But, voting registration is probably a chief source for identifying prospective jurors.

But they picked the jury!! That could be like saying go into the School for the Blind and pick your basketball team.

But going after Biden and other Dems would be the right thing to do, correct? Lord knows this thread's been begging for it for years. Sorry, the poor my side thing isn't working and people aren't going to suddenly weep for the yank "billionaire."

Almost all of your posts are about other posters. Long live the Hall Monitor!!

4) I'd love to see how Americans would feel about a Trump presidency where he ignores current issues to waste time "getting back" at previous presidents, current politicians, and individual media members.

This is the Dem take. Trump just wants revenge.

I think Trump wants to show how bad a president Biden has been by being great.

We may yet see who is correct.

You all mock Dems and I completely get it but

No one here believes this lie. You don’t “get it.” You ARE it.

What a sick post. I'll be even happier when you go after me in the future as I remember it.

People here talk about how awful Libs are & think nothing of this. Sad.
I don’t care about Michael Obama and sure as hell don’t care about some nobody’s opinion such as yours. You are a flaming liberal. You are the enemy.

1) That's what you guys wanted to begin with so why are you acting like this is a warning to me?
2) Tit for tat has always been in politics. Is it great? No. But don't pretend you guys weren't craving a Biden impeachment (if he won) seconds after it was looking like Trump could be impeached.
3) This thread plays noble Patriot but again, every poster here wants "blood" (not literally of course).
4) I'd love to see how Americans would feel about a Trump presidency where he ignores current issues to waste time "getting back" at previous presidents, current politicians, and individual media members. You really want Trump, an unpopular person, to spar with the likes of Clinton and Obama, who are way more popular than he? How would that electoral map look if it was Trump vs Obama in 2024? If Biden can beat Trump, Obama would blow his doors off this year.
5) Finally, (and many here have admitted this) Republicans are toothless. How many years have posters copy and pasted tweets from the right and R's threatening to take on past Dems or Biden himself? It. Never. Happens. Hell, the Republican Party has been fighting with itself for years now over MAGA.

You all mock Dems and I completely get it but Republicans are jelly and all bluster. None of what this thread wants would happen.
So how would we feel about Trump doing the very thing Biden is doing? There are actual legitimate and provable treasonous offenses that wouldn’t need unprecedented and questionable lawfare tactics by corrupt judges and DA’s to prosecute Biden and others with. It’s precisely why they fear Trump winning again. It’s their whole narrative of him becoming a “Deektatur”. That and he’ll be a speed bump to the great reset which will accelerate dramatically if Biden wins. Agenda 2030 is very real whether you want to believe it or not.

Are you implying posters haven't wanted the right to go after Dems in a personal matter? To dig deep and arrest them? That's literally what most here have wished for for years. As for point 4, I feel it's accurate. We have issues that need straightened out. If Trump wins, a majority wouldn't want him constantly sparring with politicians from the past and the media as he did from 2016-2020. I want to see polling that shows a majority would like Trump (and the right) in 2025 to take on the likes of Obama, the Clintons, Pelosi, and Biden plus family, that involves investigations. This thread can't stand it but in 2024, Obama is simply much more popular than Trump. What this thread has wanted for years (investigations and imprisonment for many on the left) suddenly means the fall of America when the shoe's on the other foot. Irony and such.

I suppose the other trials occur sometime next summer into the fall and perhaps spill into 2026 but unless Trump wins the WH again, courtrooms and guilty verdicts will be his future and I don't feel one bit sorry for him and the decisions he made. Same for Rudy for example.

And I literally just won $600 on Draftkings so this week has been spectacular. Have a good weekend!
Yeah, of course we want justice rendered equally across party lines. Of course we’re tired of seeing democrats get away with literally everything while Trump gets unprecedented kangaroo court lawfare used against him over petty and utterly stupid nonsense with zero evidence or zero victims. Changing statute of limitation laws to facilitate a case with no basis. Just stupid petty garbage. You clowns come on here and preach about nobody being above the law, yet are scared your party will finally have to face the music if Trump is elected.

I don’t care about Michael Obama and sure as hell don’t care about some nobody’s opinion such as yours. You are a flaming liberal. You are the enemy.
You sound literally insane. I hope you don't own a gun, people with bouts of extreme paranoia such as yourself are who I imagine shoot people for ringing the doorbell or turning around in a driveway.

Come

Come On dude, the minute Trump opened his mouth under oath they would have charged him with perjury also.

They were dying for him to sit in that chair.

Not how it works. They can't ask him just anything. It's limited to only the matters at hand. Of course in his inevitable ramblings he probably would've opened the door to 100 more issues that would've put him in jeopardy. Anything on those issues indeed would've been charged. If he just listened to his lawyers that could be avoided but we know 1) he hires sh1t lawyers and 2) he won't listen, which is probably why #1 is true.

The whole thing is an affront to justice. Then trump just makes it that much easier on them by never shutting up and never listening to legal advice.

Actually part of Trump’s appeal will be how the judge essentially threatened him that if he testifies that he’s open to any and all scrutiny. Not my belief, that what experts who sat through the trial have said.

To be clear, we are saying if the defendant does not like the jury, it's not a fair trial?

This is what Trump supporters don't get. Their defense of Trump is not based on his innocence, but based entirely on the argument that if you think he's guilty then it must be due to politics.

Same pattern. Over and over. The man has not claimed responsibility for a single thing that has taken place. Not one time. Every Trump loss is "rigged". Amazing that people still buy this.
Imagine writing this thinking the 6th amendment was only about an impartial jury.

i don’t know how cops continually deal with this crap. also, this pd must have very lax physical fitness requirements

Jmo but they need to drastically raise the pay rate for police. Right now with sh1t pay and hours, why would anyone with options want to be a Leo? They don't.

Many of those that do are getting into it for the wrong reasons which is why there are so many corrupt officers. The rest are just incompetent all the way around and physically inept. That's why we see these people shoot first and ask questions later because they can't physically handle a suspect (not applicable to this situation of course).

Then after all that, even when you made the correct split second decision while putting your life on the line for mediocre pay; you could be sued into oblivion or jailed..

He would be open to any and all scrutiny on cross about the issues at hand. That's for sure. They cent go outside the lines unless he on his own started down that path "opening the door". The likelihood of that was high because he has zero self control.

Though not apples to apples, I have a perspective on this most do not have. I was a military cop. I went through the training and worked with other cops daily. I know which guys with which personalities wanted to be civilian cops. At that time (sixties with race riots), being a military cop got you a civilian cop job anywhere you wanted to go.

My training group got 60 hours of Physical Armed Restraint Training, but that didn't make you Superman. Sometimes the bad guy is going to be bigger and badder than you no matter what and he may have a weapon. He may be on drugs. Like anyone else, you want to go home safely when your shift is over.

More pay will certainly help, but it isn't the answer by itself. I don't know what the answer is. At the end of the day, you are still going to hire a human and all the foibles that go with that.

I always enjoy your posts. I think the physical training is important but as you said there are always exceptions where lethal force is necessary. I do think something that can close the gap even more is Brazilian jiu jitsu. There are law enforcement focused modifications they teach around the country. I think that would do even more.

To me it must be scary if you're one of these portly slow footed beat cops who knows they literally can't physically restrain a non compliant person. I think it's irresponsible to hire them, but at this point these positions just fill with whomever applies.
