Social conservatives are just as much "real conservatives" as fiscal or libertarian conservatives. Actually the type of government minimalism you claim as conservative is really classic laissez-faire liberalism if you want to be technical with definitions. Are you aware of the political compass? That’s the exact point of my post. You aren’t special. Neither are transgender people. It’s up to each individual what/who they choose to respect, you don’t get it by default any more than what you think of transgender people. Easter has no unique status more than anything else.
