This whole day of visibility for trans people on Easter Sunday seems to have come out of no where. Hard to figure what the political calculus (pun intended) was surrounding this, particularly in an election year when the sitting incumbent appears to be trailing. Can’t imagine this bolsters Biden with Muslim voters in swing states who are already unhappy about Israel/Palestine.
