On topic from politics. I hate liberals more than any one on this board
Question: are liberals the same as woke progressives? The liberals I think of would never have supported censorship, government overreach, endless war, crony capitalism, captive media. I doubt they’d have supported terrorists or open borders.

I certainly hate woke progressives. It’s easier to just call them what they are: communists.

Math Fight!!!!!!!

A math fight breaks out, so this is easily your favorite day here since you and Jstaff challenged each other to Star Wars glow stick fight.

If 55's trailer was 8 feet long, 4 feet wide, and 2 feet tall, what is the volume of his trailer? LOL

( in cubic yards)
If that was his trailer size he likely got one scoop from the local nursery. One scoop is approximately equivalent to one cubic yard.

However, to answer your question

(8x4)x2 = 64 cubic feet. One cubic yard = 27 cubic feet. 64/27=2.37 cubic yards

Off topic from politics...for anyone that's interested, the ISS will be buzzing over the Louisville area tomorrow at 9:06 PM. Visible:5 min, Max Height: 62 degrees, Appears: NW, Disappears: ESE

In the summertime I enjoy catching it as it flies over. I watch it on the app and it never ceases to amaze me that I am sitting in Kentucky and I can still see it while it’s over NYC and sometimes Boston.

Yep.
It's funny, I was just thinking about this the other day and pulled out some of the 'Class' pictures they would take each year. There's a photo with us in it and I was next to Martin Gentry and we both had these big smiles on our faces like we just got away with something. That was right after bussing started. Those were fun times back in the old neighborhood. 🤣

This is unbelievably horrific to watch. It's not just Hamas the group that is evil and the Palestinian people aren't bad like liberals try to say. The people in the street are always cheering the terrorists on. Palestinian equals terrorist. All of them. I hope Israel continues to makes them pay for this evil, lord knows the Biden administration will try to help the terrorists.

You can actually sign up at Nasa to get text alerts based in your location. It's a pretty neat service, and a good thing to pull out on a date if it's flying over.

I step away for a day or two, and I come back to find pages full of arguments over climate change C02 level charts and algebra equations. What the hell happened here?!?
Enough of this damn math matrix bullshit! Damnit! We're talking Geography with a touch of Geology and Astronomy next week!

I have a hunch that you might be better at math than even "I" am. LOL (you always were)

(Doesn't hurt though, that you've had to use it more than most, in your career. LOL)

But, can you get people (even unreasonable ones) from point A to point B in the POLITICAL landscape?

Good luck with THAT one Mercator!!! LOL

(full disclosure, I had to look up Mercator...)

You want some interesting reading? Go get you a copy of the Bowditch book we used to use back in the day before computers took over. It had a lot of interesting stuff on ocean navigation. I wish I would have kept the copy I had when I retired.

Oh, and most of our stuff was based on the Mercator Projection. The trick was transferring data from one projection to another. Those were fun times.

I absolutely will. I love that kind of thing.
It was a big thick green hardbound book. Don't go and buy one yet. I'm heading back to StL next week. A friend of mine is still working at the Agency. I'll see if he can scrounge one up. If he can, I'll give it to you. He might need to talk with someone in DC though.

No liberals are not the same as woke progressives. Liberals are misguided souls. Woke progressives are nothing but a bunch of godless, marxist pieces of $h!t. Or Useful Idiots that are to brainwashed to see that the people that they are voting for are intentionally trying to destroy our country. Like lambs being led to the slaughter & they're too dumb to know it.

Two scoops are what I usually get. However, Lowes had sale on bagged, so I got 30 bags.

Subtact 3 from both sides and you have:

- the square root of (2m+2) = 5

multiply both sides times - 1 (you don't have to)

the square root of (2m + 2) = -5

2m + 2 = 25

2m = 23

m = 23/2

CHECK:

3 - the square root of (2 x 23/2 + 2) = 8

3 - the square root of 25 = 8

3 - 5 = 8

-2 = 8

-2 does not equal 8 the answer is null

What is the lesson here?*
That no one does this in real life?
