If the world had not shown greening over the past decade, you may have a point.
You do have to be worried about it though right? Haley's getting around a quarter of Republican support in most of these states and they're only voting for her as a vote for anybody but Trump. Bunch of Haley voters answering no to the "Vote Republican in Nov. regardless of nominee?" question according to exit polling.

There are intentional "greening" projects being undertaken by people in specific places, but vegetation loss continues in the poorest communities with underdeveloped economies that you were referencing. Brazil is not getting greener.

A large portion of MAGA just wants to be entertained. Maybe they don't realize a portion of the party they're apart of but also hates won't vote for Trump in Nov. Several regulars here have already admitted previously that Trump can't win the general; that he's toxic and women largely can't stand him. But...they can't leave ole Don so here we are. To win you need several groups behind you, not a swath of angry middle aged men. IMO chances are high I'll be here in Nov. saying the choice was right there, it could've been Haley who would crush Biden, but nope. Maybe at some point this thread will understand you're in the minority if you think the election was stolen and only Trump can save not only the country but the world.
Personally, I don't believe this is true at all. She's Mitt Romney - with less intelligence and a skirt - and I think you'd have rural voters not show up. Why? Look at her platform: aid to Ukraine. Aid to Israel. Aid to Gaza. Tax cuts for the rich. Endless illegal immigration. She's basically Biden.

She ain't great but the country wants someone who isn't an old bastard. One guy can't speak and is largely confused and the other sounds like Alex Jones' grandfather who confused one of his ex-wife's with a woman who claimed he raped her and said the British took control of our airports during the Revolutionary War. That's our choices. Polling will remain close but with these two, opinions are already baked in. Millions of previous Trump voters aren't switching and neither are millions of Biden voters. The electoral map and race to 270 likely looks similar to 2020 this year which means another Biden victory. Of course maybe I'm wrong and society says "we were wrong to go against Trump" and he wins. I just don't see it though. R's had an opportunity but MAGA is firmly dug in. MAGA found out in 2020 they weren't a majority and what happened? They cooked up the stolen election story instead of moving away from Trump.

Trump and DeSantis were competing for the same voters. Haley pitches to a different demographic. Exactly as you point out the defense and business communities. Traditional Republican coalition members who have been pushed out in the Trump era. You don't see many in this thread because it's a den of snakes for them but there's a real faction of the Republican party that is pissed at Trump for taking the reins away from them. The question is whether those voters hold their noses and go Trump for the general or stay home/vote Biden. Haley voters will likely determine this election, as you yourself acknowledged earlier with the "trolling" comment, and Trump doesn't have the best track record of being conciliatory.
Honest question, and obviously, I don't want to research the answer; How many of the "RED" states that Haley has done the best in allow people to vote in primaries, regardless of political party affiliation. IOW, open primaries?

How is a stranger on your property, especially a criminal illegal alien from who knows where and/or from who knows which foreign prison, with who knows what sort of criminal background, not a danger or threat to your family?
My biggest fear is that overturning Roe is going to carry the election for the dems. I don't agree with abortion, but it's not an issue I care about. I'd be willing to give the left that issue all day to get the GOP in. Navigating this will be tricky.
I like any of those, but I don’t think Ben Carson moves the needle in terms of name recognition and appeal as much as the others. Vivek is out there front and center making daily posts and stumping for Trump. I can’t recall the last comment on anything I’ve heard from Carson. I’d be ecstatic if the fence was mended with Desantis and he was named. But I doubt that happens. Though it would cement him as the 2028 favorite.
All this is assuming we even have an election.

Can you imagine having voting drop boxes and vote by mail, where there is no possible way to validate cheating didn't occur, and then look at someone with a straight face and say "voting was on the up and up in 2020". Get real. The election was stolen.

It IS tricky. Because SCOTUS actually got it right, but it doesn't READ that way to idiots. And well, you know, most voters are idiots. And, they're too lazy to fight where their voices make the most difference; in their own states and communities. If you want abortion rights, take an active part in the election of your state legislature. Hold their feet to the GD fire. That is the entire reason for more state rights and a limited Federal government. It's damn near impossible for grass roots political movements to make a difference on the Federal level. It's much more efficient to force change at a local and state level.
Even though I agree with SCOTUS' decision, I'd gladly participate in political efforts to guarantee abortion rights in Kentucky. (and HAVE)
The fact you think we can get the planet into some sort of stabilized condition is what’s patently absurd. Those “circumstances of their time” were not human related or impacted by humans. They were happening regardless because of the forces of nature. We can’t prevent an asteroid from causing mass extinction or a volcano eruption or earthquakes, Or the Sun getting progressively hotter. Can we make rain machines? Yeah, can we pollute the hell out of things, yeah, but again it’s barely a blip. It affects you and us here today and maybe a generation or two beyond. Again teensy blips. You aren’t changing the course of human existence for millions of years to come.
All most likely true, but the fact that fossil fuels are a limited resource remains, so it DOES make sense to actively promote research into alternative resources. The most pracitcal, at this point, are nuclear energy plants, and then ongoing improvements in battery technology. Those two things (along with efficient solar gathering), will ultimately be the answers.
But, like I said; sooner or later it's getting blown out like a GD match. LOL
The best scenario (for my sense of humor anyway), is that mankind finally hits on the sweet spot, ie finds perfectly clean and renewable energy, and during the huge celebration, a big rock blows up the earth, just as the ribbon cutting commences. LOL
