If they do not revolt against Trump like is thought to happen then I’d venture to guess breaking up his 8 years was best for democrats to make sure Trumps policies aren’t so rock solid and ingrained.

An 8 year run would have absolutely crushed this era of democrats and forced a change in both party’s.

On the contrary what they’ve done is give a real life lesson to the black and Latino voters who are learning the hard way that dems latch on to ANY minority group for votes, but we’re all left dealing with the BS they pander to for those votes.

Just makes me wonder if dems will even try to stuff votes and “cheat” just to keep Biden numbers up to make it look as if it’s not a complete landslide. I’m sure it doesn’t scale across America but I know people that HATE Trump that have already declared they’re voting for him sadly.

I never said that. You made a statement about the pre-election environment, with regards to the electoral map, being almost identical to that of 4 years ago. Now, I'm not anywhere close to being an expert but, if true, wouldn't that just be typical of recent 'initiatives'? How many times have the people of this country been told that such-as-such is true and it's essential that we do something to fix this existential problem only to find out that what we were told was, at best, slanted and, at worst, provably false?

But you're crazy to think 2020 is the same political climate as right now. People voted for Biden as a "lesser" of evils, and while I don't agree with that, I understand the sentiment. Now, people will vote Trump as he's now the "lesser" of evils. (Realistic evils like economic issues, not something silly like "mean tweets"). His policies are what the general population want. Things were cooking in the fall before covid and they did nothing but go to shit since, even after Covid was behind us. That matters.

This is a whole new ball game in 2024. Mostly created by what Biden wasn't able to do, his incompetence, and he's rapidly declining health

My understanding is, that when you factor in the enormous amount of convential CO2 emitting processes used in the production of EV's,not the LEAST of which is the mining for the battery materials etc. That EV's start out with such an emissions deficit (not to mention, the vast majority of the electricity that is used to charge them is provided by some of the least efficient fossil fuel burning processes) that it is practically impossible for them to overcome the deficit over the functional life of the vehicle.

A compact, highly fuel efficient, EFI internal combustion vehicle outperforms an EV in spades. It's not even close.

No one has a problem with your dad God rest his soul voting absentee. This was the original intent when it came to absentee voting. It was for the elderly that was too frail to get out & vote & for our military that was over seas & couldn't get to the polls & vote.
