Your anecdotal experience is meaningless.
Everything is anecdotal with him. Schools aren’t grooming and indoctrinating kids despite all the evidence we present on the daily because his school “would never do that”. The economy is rolling because bars are full after UK games on a college campus. There’s a rampant epidemic of 10 year olds getting raped and being denied abortions because one in Ohio got knocked up by an illegal and had to travel out of state. (More than likely traveled out of state to protect the illegal.) get the picture?

The fact you think we can get the planet into some sort of stabilized condition is what’s patently absurd. Those “circumstances of their time” were not human related or impacted by humans. They were happening regardless because of the forces of nature. We can’t prevent an asteroid from causing mass extinction or a volcano eruption or earthquakes, Or the Sun getting progressively hotter. Can we make rain machines? Yeah, can we pollute the hell out of things, yeah, but again it’s barely a blip. It affects you and us here today and maybe a generation or two beyond. Again teensy blips. You aren’t changing the course of human existence for millions of years to come.
Of course those changes were not human related. The current ones are. It isn't about getting "the planet into some sort of stabilized condition", it's just about not shoving it over a cliff. If we continue on this carbon path we will change the planet in ways that will significantly affect it and every living thing on it for thousands, possibly millions, of years. That's much more than "maybe a generation or two".

All most likely true, but the fact that fossil fuels are a limited resource remains, so it DOES make sense to actively promote research into alternative resources. The most pracitcal, at this point, are nuclear energy plants, and then ongoing improvements in battery technology. Those two things (along with efficient solar gathering), will ultimately be the answers.

But, like I said; sooner or later it's getting blown out like a GD match. LOL

The best scenario (for my sense of humor anyway), is that mankind finally hits on the sweet spot, ie finds perfectly clean and renewable energy, and during the huge celebration, a big rock blows up the earth, just as the ribbon cutting commences. LOL
I don’t think any of my posts have said we shouldn’t. But we shouldn’t shut down fossil fuels completely without an honest, efficient, and as cheap or cheaper alternatives functioning, tested and in place. The mandates are ignorant. If they would just let the free market do its thing, we would eventually evolve into that. But the government has to stick its nose into every new and burgeoning technology and start mandating things way before they are ready for mass consumption.

So, you and I stand united in the move towards more nuclear power plants?

The current one are only to a certain point. And so far none of the doomsday predictions that have been floated out there for the past half century have even come close to coming to fruition. The climate hysteria is a money grab and fear mongering pushed by the likes of the WEF/UN to exercise control and implement their agendas. But none of that matters if Yellowstone has a massive eruption that wipes out the western half of the US. Or if the new Madrid fault decides it’s going to level a chunk of the Midwest. Us cutting out fossil fuels and forcing us to rely on our adversaries for oil, while China and India keep cranking out coal fired power plants is doing zilch. How about we get the worlds worst polluters on board and fixed first before we worry about one of the countries with far far lower emissions issues.

.0035 percent

That representents the US man-made CO2, as a percentage of global (natural and man-made) emissions. (And I even took the liberty of using Dion's erronueous 14 percent/per capita argument)

(that doesn't take into account that we're the 3rd largest "reforester" on the planet. So the "net" is probably less)

So, you and I stand united in the move towards more nuclear power plants?
Of course. This is from yesterday:
Take nuclear. A perfect example of what you're talking about where hysterics override sense. The left and right should be able to come to a common sense compromise to fund and develop safer American green nuclear tech. But the Karens on both sides yell about it because they don't understand it. People talking about the problem isn't the issue, uneducated voices being heeded is. Climate change is a big deal to a majority of the population, we need to inform them on the topic, not ignore and pooh-pooh it.

A large portion of MAGA just wants to be entertained. Maybe they don't realize a portion of the party they're apart of but also hates won't vote for Trump in Nov. Several regulars here have already admitted previously that Trump can't win the general; that he's toxic and women largely can't stand him. But...they can't leave ole Don so here we are. To win you need several groups behind you, not a swath of angry middle aged men. IMO chances are high I'll be here in Nov. saying the choice was right there, it could've been Haley who would crush Biden, but nope. Maybe at some point this thread will understand you're in the minority if you think the election was stolen and only Trump can save not only the country but the world.

Think you’ve misunderstood what has been said or just purposefully misconstruing it to convince yourself.

Saying Trump won’t be allowed to win the general is much different than saying he cant win the general.

I assume being a frequent here on the political board you’ve noticed the 917181781 indictments against him by the useful pawns of the current regime, sham impeachments, attempts to remove him (being the leading front runner) from the ballot and therefore removing half the country’s ability to choose the candidate of their choice.

Even today, an article by the Atlantic debates the “options” Democrats will still have to disqualify Trump despite having to deny the will of the voters.

But yeah let’s just chalk to it up to “he’s toxic.” It’s a much easier pill to swallow for you Id imagine than what’s really going on.

~Haley decides to continue to waste her constituents money

~Fetterman showing he has actually has cognitive skills and being a moderate on some of the issues.

~Garvey against Egghead in Cali is going to be close.

~The dolts on MSNBC are one notch above pond scum, only because they are human.

There are intentional "greening" projects being undertaken by people in specific places, but vegetation loss continues in the poorest communities with underdeveloped economies that you were referencing. Brazil is not getting greener.

Science has demonstrated significant greening over the past 30 years. The world, not some project so that you may justify it as some human endeavor. This result is more vegetation, more plant-based food for the world. And, it makes complete sense if there is more CO2 in the atmosphere.

Your dodge of this verifiable fact is the problem with the climate cult and especially the Marxists who want to use the crisis to empower their cause.

First, stop being so darn mad all the time about MAGA and Trump. It’s not the end of the world you have made it seem. Live your life and stop being someone online you are not in person.

Second, we don’t have to have Biden on the ballot, but for all of the lemming libs who cannot leave the doddering ole man behind. So here we are.

Third you conveniently and disingenuously conflate those here who think Trump would lose the general, admitting they don’t care for him, with those “who can’t leave old Don.” How many posters on this board do you believe voted for Trump in a primary in 2024? Come on and please post in a way that at least looks honest.

Finally; I don’t know if Haley would wrestle enough Dem sycophants from the doddering ole man (a description used by a Whitehouse person I know in Biden’s FIRST year of office - things have not gotten better). If she could, there are things about her that scare me, but I would vote for her over the bumbling Biden any day (remember when we were told his gaffes were the result of disfluency and our criticism was offensive, because it made fun of his speech problems? Wow. We don’t hear those lies anymore). And, I will vote for Trump over the doddering ole man. Biden is dangerous for us and the world.

Nightwish said: The electoral map and race to 270 likely looks similar to 2020 this year which means another Biden victory.

Hmmm... I don't actually agree. But I'd very much like to see your state by state analysis of Nevada, Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Wisconsin,.
I can give a succinct analysis- Dey gon cheat again.

Cause nobody has fixed the absentee and mail in ballot issues.

How is a stranger on your property, especially a criminal illegal alien from who knows where and/or from who knows which foreign prison, with who knows what sort of criminal background, not a danger or threat to your family?

In some cases they might be but it isn't automatic. If someone is hunting on your land you don't have license to just execute them. This is no different

It’s really is amazing how stupid democrats are.

Look at any chart showing industries with prices that rise exponentially without an increase in productivity or quality, and it’s perfectly correlated with a chart of industries with heavy government involvement. And that government involvement is certainly the cause.

Yet the Biden administration is going to set up a corporate greed task force, that will undoubtedly make the problem worse, solely because people who are stupid enough to believe the task force will help are dumb enough to vote democrat.

Authors like Orwell and Bradbury used to be required reading in English Lit courses when I was in HS. Great literature, plus it informed my generation anyway, of the dangers of authoritarianism and totalitarianism.

Today, they ban and outlaw books like this because they want to covertly attempt to impose what just 30 years ago they tried to warn us about.
