I'm going to be honest, I don't know wtf is true anymore. Trump shitting on the media is ridiculous, but to be fair during the campaign we literally saw CNN making shit up over and over again. They gave debate questions, they would make protests and rallies seem bigger or smaller depending on their narrative, and the worst offender of all IMO was "take that shit to the suburbs" lady. That one incident crushed any faith I had in the press.

But, which is more manipulative? Editing someone inciting a riot to make them sound peaceful, or shouting down that channel and not letting them ask questions ? Are we now in 1984, or have we been in 1984 since 1984?

That's what's scary. We need an unbiased, credible media to hold this (or any) president accountable.

So far, they've cried wolf so many times it is incredibly easy to discredit anything they do. Not good.

Trump should have the national guard called in to deal with these rioters. They are surrounding cars and beating people up, hitting Trump supporters with poles.

So I had an idea to add to a past post, with some help from Dennis Miller.

California, Oregon, Washington can all become one country connected to Mexico and be the western European liberal states of America, also called "Waxorca". They can make policy however they want, and even connect a road to Mexico and have an open boarders policy for everyone, minus the eastern border that of course separates them from the middle of America. On the east, you can take all of the northeastern states down toNorthern Pennsylvania, and call it "the buble states of America". They can have sanctuary to anyone(can't get caught on the way there), all the entitlements they want, and no limits on anything. TS's, beastiality, pedophilia.... Everything goes. You create a southern border that cuts off the rest of America.

The rest of the country is the "pro-American America", where they have capitalism, limited entitlements, the second amendment any way they want it, regulated immigration however they want it, and a government that protects but doesn't invade the peoples lives. They can be traditional and have separate bathrooms, have two national genders, etc.

In the middle, you can take Chicago, and have a "free zone" for any liberal anarchist who wants to go from "the bubble" to "waxorca". Just create an underground interstate system for only licensed carrying liberal, and they get a pit stop in the middle for food, gas, stretch their legs etc.

If a liberal gets caught inside of the "pro-American America" then you get purged. If a conservative gets caught inside of Waxorca or the Bubble states of America, you get entitlements.

This could work.

I'm a business unit manager for maintenance and engineering at a manufacturing plant. The engineers are what you'd expect. Some of my industrial mechanics are very intelligent (schooled) and redneck.

We had a get together at a guys farm. He was mechanic and it was for goodwill due to some things the department did for him in time of need. They had a gun shoot too. I was blown away at the arsenal and the talk. There are more people ready to assemble than the government and liberals should be comfortable with.

Must feel good to be able to celebrate the death of an American soldier after an 8 year break.

Just imagine if it was Drump on the ground in Pakistan instead of Obama. Bin Laden would probably still be alive. Or so some random, unnamed, anonymous "military officials" told me.



Honestly though, I am glad we're back to focusing on US military operations overseas. Death should not be taken lightly, whether civilian or American military. I do however draw a distinction between boots-on-the-ground intelligence gathering operations, and drone strikes. The death of an American soldier is tragic, and do not mistake what I'm saying, but if America is going to be hunting terrorists overseas, I'd prefer it not be done by a guy with a joystick sitting in Virginia. I know that's easy for me to say as a civilian with no family or friends currently on active duty.

You may not be aware these days, but a lot of "news" organizations are publishing a lot of bullshit. Some people like to call it "fake news". So I'm going to refrain from jumping at the opportunity to criticize Drump for authorizing a military action based on a report from random anonymous "military officials."

I hope so bad Trump does something about H1-Bs. Nothing will make people flip out more, but it's not so easy for a US citizens out there with a STEM degree. We're getting undercut so hard. Because I'm a masochist, I looked up the company last company I had multiple interviews with and wasn't hired + h1-b . . . sure enough they have an h1-b on file for that position, for 25% less than the number we discussed.

I don't mean to be a whiny bitch. I do believe in competing in the free market, but how do you compete with that? A company would never offer me what the other person accepted.

H1-B strongly affects me, too. I lost my job in 2010 as a direct result thereof. The amount of layoffs in IT has been staggering over the past couple years. Fortunately, H1-B is also a bi-partisan issue. and garners lots of attention.
