Does no good to have policemen if the common sense criminal code is not enforced post arrest in the courts and violent criminals aren't put down expediently.

There's no reason we should be housing violent and repeat violent offenders for more than a year (or two at most). Rapists, murderers, sexual abusers, and those who distribute chemicals that kill should not be released into the community at large before or after trial convictions. Instead their convictions should come with mandatory death sentences after 1-5 years starting with most violent and repeat offenders first. Those with more money should not be able to buy lesser punishments or avoid serving.

Start serving justice, start having fewer crimes.

I don't think this was a matter of training and I agree more training is needed. But this act was a brutal inhumane action of animals out of control. They were beating on a defenseless man for God only knows why . My brain can not comprehend this type of behavior towards a man stopped for a "traffic violation". They should know better without any training.

I would like to know what type of traffic violation warranted this. I saw the vido and heard the audio but not one time did I see or hear them ask for his drivers license. They just rushed his car and pulled him out and the beating commenced.

If found guilty I hope these 5 officers never see the light of day.

I know absolutely nothing about this incident. I stopped watching, listening, or looking at any news a few days ago. Can't remember when.

Only thing I could think was he tried to run over someone or nearly did run over people (pedestrians) in a busy area. I could see someone getting a beating by one person for that. The only other semi-defendable impetus for a group of people to beat someone to death like that is that he actually killed or raped someone or several people that the officers knew, or he had dirt on someone and they were shutting him up permanently.

My first thought when I heard a brief snippet about this, because of all of the staged bullsht the past 6+ years, was that this too was staged to start riots and protests to distract from something else and be able to more easily influence an outraged populace. To do so would help generate a call for a national police force and the abolishing of local protections, as they have done in other fascist takeovers of govts, since locally elected and hired police are less likely to follow govt orders when it comes to eliminating rights and confiscating guns.

If this was done it wouldn't take more than a year or two afterward to seize control of all elections and secure a fascist state for the future. It would still be a "democracy" but not a republic complete with checks and balances.

Agree.

Ecclesiastes 8

11 When the sentence for a crime is not quickly carried out, people’s hearts are filled with schemes to do wrong.

You clown. It matters if a roofer dies in a fall from a roof, and if a cop gets ambushed and shot in the line of duty.

There is quite a difference there.

Agreed, a dead body occurs in each scenario. Clown
Why? They both chose dangerous jobs of their own volition. I thought this place was about the personal responsibility.

Someone has shot at the cop. Made a conscious decision. If you can't admit the difference between that and a random accident, then that is on you. I know you know the difference, you just won't admit it. Why?
Why does it matter whether another person killed you, a broken cable, or a tornado? Why is one death worse than another? Explain to me what the difference is if it's so readily apparent. I genuinely don't understand your argument.

(Obviously outside the on-the-ground details. That's why I used the chainsaw kickback example vs. being shot, in almost all circumstances if you die from getting shot it's going to be a lot quicker and cleaner and less painful than the chainsaw.)

Smart move. More candidates helps to split the vote not solidly behind him.

"On the way to South Carolina, Trump told reporters aboard his plane that Nikki Haley – the state’s former governor who served as his ambassador to the United Nations – called him in recent days to inform him that she is considering launching a 2024 presidential bid.

“I talked to her for a little while, I said, ‘Look, you know, go by your heart if you want to run,’” Trump said. “She’s publicly said that ‘I would never run against my president, he was a great president.’”

Trump said he told Haley that she “should do it.”

Then why is the Floyd or Tyre death any different than a guy getting hit by a car?

You utter buffoon.

So you do not agree with sentence enhancements for hate crimes?

There was no violation. The police review found no cause for the stop. That is why they were so quick to bring murder charges. It was a targeted beating.

Concentration camps do not mean people are being killed. That is just the association caused by the Holocaust. They were in use many times before and after then. The British used them all over Africa. Russia has used them continuously throughout their history and still uses them. What we used for the Japs were concentration camps. We just called them internment because it sounded better. Immigration camps are concentration camps, people are just to simple minded and instantly associate it with mass slaughter. AoC is also a moron that the GoP is obsessed with. She is a female Trump, say tons of stupid troll shit and watch the media eat it up and give you 24/7 coverage.

I just had a post erased by the mods I guess, I didn't erase it...very unsure why?

It's not more or less offensive than anything else posted on here. I'm going to re-post it, if a mod would like to explain to me why it was erased I will accept the decision...but I'm confused. Has the media not done exactly what the meme suggests? How is this worse than anything else posted on here? (Hopefully I deleted it on accident otherwise it makes no sense)

CNN just blamed these black cops killing a black guy on Robert Downey Jr's character from tropic thunder.

Something that has been totally lost in the last few decades is the definition of racism. That is where one race feels, or thinks it is superior to another. Now......everything is thrown on the alter of 'racism'. A term so overused that it basically has lost it's meaning....or sting.

Was fortunate to have known Truett Cathy (founder of Chick-fil-A) through business contacts and church when I lived in Atlanta. One of the nicest people I've met in my life. A very Christian man (the reason why the left goes after the business so much).

'I see no conflict whatsoever between Christianity and good business practices. People say you can't mix business with religion. I say there's no other way. Share this' S. Truett Cathy

'I'd like to be remembered as one who kept my priorities in the right order.' S. Truett Cathy

'Our decision to close on Sunday was our way of honoring God and of directing our attention to things that mattered more than our business'.
Racism to fight racism. Evil to fight evil. Hate to fight hate. The “morality” of the post-modern world is a lost contradiction and has placed this country more adrift. The Biblical quote that seems to summarize our culture: “What is truth?”

Democrat Mayor, Police Chief is black. The city is 63% black. Obviously the police force is predominantly black as there wasn’t one white officer in sight. Can we drop the whole “this was about race” narrative in this case? The kid was murdered. These Officers should be held accountable in a big way for their egregious actions and the Memphis PD has some serious explaining to do.

Yes, police need better training, better pay, and accountability for their actions.
I don’t disagree with the sentiment, but I do believe there was a white officer on the scene. I think he got hit with pepper spray and was furious, but could not chase, because he was incapacitated.

The renewed calls to abolish the police or reform the police have started, at least from what I see on twitter. That’s all well and good until whatever replaces the police is confronted by a violent criminal. So I don’t subscribe to any of that.

What I will say is that I find it unsettling that every cop is strapped with weapons and armor like they are going into battle. This is even true of a cop providing security at a school or shopping mall. It didn’t used to be that way and I can’t imagine all that armor is necessary in most circumstances. I can only think that being outfitted like a soldier going into battle goes to the heads of some of the immature people on the force.
Being a cop is dangerous. You don’t know when you will be thrust into a situation others should run from, while you run to. When would you advise that police officers not wear protection?
