You guys have a rosey made up vision of how elections have always worked. They have always taken days and weeks to finish counting. A lot of house races take weeks to call. The national races just used to be a lot more lopsided either way and quick to call. Races are a lot tighter now so it comes down to the last few votes. A call doesn't mean counting is done. Not a single state has 100% reported. We have this stupid patchwork voting system and just let localities do their own thing. For national elections Every state should have the same voting equipment. Every state should have the same early voting. Every state should have the same absentee rules. Wvery state should have same day registration. Every state should be allowed to process early returns. Hold the results until all counting is done and dump it all at once so we don't have any more of this stupid after election conspiracy porn of pillow guy making graphs that don't mean anything.
State can do whatever stupid shit they want for local elections but for national they should be following the same rules. But we have an inept congress not doing their job
