We have a serious drug problem in this country. Perhaps the biggest problem in this country right now. Not sure making drugs legal and easier to access will fix that.

They’re easy to access now. Drug dealers don’t even card. And each batch is incredibly inconsistent and can be extremely dangerous. People don’t overdose because they want to, they OD because they use an incorrect amount.
To be fair, dont do drugs and one never overdoses. Also, dont murder ppl, and murder rates go down (except near "health clinics".)
If people would stop choosing those 2 things, then the problem would cease 2 exist. Unfortunately, so many ppl have been only told that they are a victim for too long and violence is the only way out. And they are enabled by the white liberals.

Alcohol is a drug. Sugar is a drug. Caffeine is a drug. Tylenol is a drug. We all use “drugs” every day. The problem, like anything else, is with abuse, not use. If you go do an appropriate amount of heroin right now you’ll be fine. Drugs aren’t the problem, people are. Just like guns.

There are a terrifying number of people that if you offered them a good job and a way out they wouldn't take it. Like prisoners some people become institutionalized by poverty. I've seen it. They don't accept anything that means they have to try. They've conditioned themselves to live hand to mouth, day by day, taking whatever comes as the cost of not having to try. Believe me, I have it in my own family, they become almost zombies with seemingly no ambition or will to try. I've offered solid good opportunities to one of my brothers on multiple occasions, his life would be completely different, but he is simple lacking in some required gene to take responsibility for his life.
So, since the 1960s has the socioeconomic standing of the black communities where murder rates are so high gotten better, stayed the same, or gotten worse?

A lot of murders do not have anything to do with drugs. That is kind of an old school belief, but not what law enforcement tells me.

Cities with people piled on top of each other with few resources, plenty of guns, lots of poor people, and easy cash for a wildly popular although illegal product... they're going to kill each other at a very high rat regardless of race in those circumstances.
Know what does not fix the problem? Reparations and wokeness.

The exception and not the rule, YET you want to keep doing more of what has failed for years because it makes you feel good about yourself. If getting out of poverty and dangerous communities were the rule, we would be justified to think that what has transpired for years was working. But, you just admitted it does not work. In fact, it has made things worse. You want to point the finger at yourself and claim you are good for your beliefs. But, those beliefs have failed and failed and failed.
Social media plays a big role in a number of murders we see in the inner city. Lack of impulse control. A failure to appreciate the value of life. People are not killing each other over drugs.

Well...the @screwduke1 family Thanksgiving was so large this year they had to have it outside...they can't go outside during the summer so they really enjoyed it.

I just saw a segment on NBC Nightly News about a Native American restaurant that serves only "pre colonialization" food. They interviewed a lady and she said sometimes people were "crying in their food"...
I don't understand why the media is so intensely invested in wokeism? It is relentless. Seriously, people are climbing up the wall sick of it. Comedians have been taking the stage for years now warning us that this crap has to stop. Bill Burr said he would rather perform in front of a bunch of Trumpers in Oklahoma than in these coastal woke college towns now... and Bill is married to a black woman and is very liberal. Everyone knows Bill Maher has been going off on woke for years now and I am probably closer to him politically and ideologically than anyone I can think of. It baffles me why the media just keeps beating that drum unless their goal is to tear the country apart?
Nobody outside a small sad group way over on the left supports this crap so why does it endure to the degree it does in the media? What supports that? Plus wokeism is the ammo that keeps the Trumpers going. If we can get rid of one, we can get rid of both, hopefully.
