With apologies if this has been posted before. OK article on the Dems re-electing Pelosi, but what really got my attention was the video. Watch the first minute of Pelosi, her words, her expressions, her face, her delivery...how can she be in touch with virtually anyone not of very significant wealth and very liberal? Almost to the point of being surreal, strange, cartoonish.
And then skip to the final minute when they ask questions of the guy she beat...he doesn't have answers, because there really isn't any justification to her still being in power. You can tell he's trying to support the party line and put on a positive spin, but he's got nothing. Because there is nothing.

Tariffs are imposed when there are unfair trade situations such as currency manipulation and dumping. We don't impose and will not impose tariffs on goods made in Europe nor will they impose tariffs on US manufactured goods.
Where current and previous administrations have failed is thinking that high corporate taxes on US firms is a good idea and that trade agreements without restrictions is a good idea. Level the playing field and reduce corporate tax rate and the result will most likely be a net positive for US companies and US jobs.
Cardkilla and the left need those taxes to keep giving money to those who vote for them and keep them voting for them. You know, those lazy bums who do not want to work. Keeps them in power because there are a lot of Cardkilla's out there. It is the only thing keeping them afloat.
I didn't vote for Trump. Didn't to ask him to go to Washington to take tax dollars to represent me.
However, I feel optimistic for our country. For the first time in the past ten years, I feel like America doesn't have to succeed in spite of the person in the White House.
I don't like Paul Ryan, but he said some good things on 60 minutes last night (who knows what's actually done in reality though). I loved hearing him talk about the difference between Trump in private and publically. Not a Clinton type "you need to have private positions and lie to the general public" difference, but the fact that in private he's a down to business type that just wants to get things done.
Couple that with other segment on the Golden Triangle in Mississippi. Maybe there is a real opportunity for America to win back the manufacturing jobs we lost. With the movement towards automation, if the American tax cost is cut, maybe the low cost labor abroad isn't so enticing anymore. We may not get a 10,000 employee manufacturing plant back, but 1,000 jobs is better than nothing.
And as much as I dislike Kasich for directly contradicting the will of the people on the expansion of Medicare, he's signed some outstanding tax legislation for small business owners in OH. Your first $250,000 of pass-through business income is tax free, and the rest of you business income is taxed at 3% as opposed to 5%. It's going to be interesting to see how other states react if a federal tax cut helps bring jobs back into the country.
So anyway, sort of rambling, but I am optimistic for the direction of the country (hopefully any benefits apply to all people in the country as opposed to cutting deals on a one off basis to score political points going forward).

There is no current recount in PA. Stein couldn't put up the $1 million bond that the state court required so she withdrew her suit. She is now trying to force a recount in PA via federal court.
EDIT: You are right that Hillary did pick up about 21,000 net votes from provisional and overseas ballots.

I was watching WLKY the other night and the news came on. Talking head said "Donald Trump called Taiwan", of course at that time I already knew that they had called him. I bitched at the TV as I often do when news is on and then when they had the story on they slipped it in there that Taiwan had actually called Trump. Was it an honest mistake? No, because they are not honest and that is a prerequisite to making an "honest" mistake.
