And China didn't do crap while Donald Trump was president. Putin/Russia invaded no one while Trump was president, they didn't even threaten any one. The little fat boy in North Korea stopped firing missiles while Trump was president. This is the difference between a man, a real leader like Trump & an incompetent little wimp like Joe Biden. The media put this idiot in office & the chickens are coming home to roost.
It is a sad commentary on our society and where progressives have taken us in the past 30 years. As a child in school I wouldn't have dreamed of the current state of America's educational system. There was not a single moment I was afraid of a lunatic killing scores of my classmates or me. It never entered my mind. Now it is part of every day life.
Our schools have armed guards as a precaution and most parents want them there. Fortunately our State has a 20 billion dollar surplus and can afford to spend a little extra money to protect the children from insanity and evil in our society . But even armed guards are not enough because there is evil in the hearts of many. All races and all creeds. And evil kills. The gun is only a tool. It could be a bomb or any other object that can kill. Evil is the cause not the gun.
Should we have to look at what 8 year olds look like after getting their faces exploded by an AR-15? Would that make these shootings more real to us?

That's fine. I think most reasonable people agree that we don't want to confiscate any responsible gun owners guns. Are there unreasonable people on the far left that want to do that? Yes absolutely, but 70% or so of our country doesnt want to confiscate guns, nor do I. What I would like to see is that buying guns, especially guns like the AR-15, is a privilege for responsible Americans and not something that any nutbag can easily do on every street corner in many states. There is a middle ground in there we can all reach if people will talk to each other instead memeing and cussing each other.

I agree it may be costly. For poor states like Kentucky it would not be practical but for the prosperous states it should be the norm. If a county in a poor state can afford it they should do it.

We all want police that will do the job the way they are supposed to do it. How do we go about getting the people who will do that? What kind of pay/incentives will it take for us to get a force full of heroes in every town?
Not sure you got my drift: I was referring to the cost of lawsuits to the districts & taxpayers. Safety has to be part of the school budget.
KY has too many counties, especially poor counties, to maintain all these separate school districts and provide both a decent education & safety. They need to be combined despite their governments & schools being largest employers in a lot of places.
Hell, what are the pay and incentives those parents could give them just to get out of the way? CHILDREN were getting slaughtered and they stood outside in tactical gear...'acting' like they were cops...'playing' cop...not being a f-cking cop.
F-ck every last one of them. I know they won't get it, but any cop that handcuffed or tasered a parent...I would give them a life sentence. They peppered sprayed a parent trying to save his child.
It's one thing if you won't do your job, it's another thing if you are preventing others from stopping carnage.
