If you put the time into learning actual history that you do into conspiracies you’d have a better chance at knowing what’s really going on. Real knowledge is even more fun to lord over people than ‘secret’ knowledge because it’s verifiable. You can link them stuff when they’re wrong. And it’s much more predictive and actionable. Because it’s real.

Learning history doesn’t mean listening to media. That’s propaganda. It means going directly to the sources. He has the desire to do that which is why I try. And he’s right that most people are just living their lives and don’t care at all to challenge the narrative they’re shown. You just also have to take it another step further and challenge your own narrative that you’ve built up over your life as well as the one they present you with. Question everything. That includes yourself, your God, your faith, your ideas. Observable, repeatable experiments and evidence and the scientific consensus that arise from those are the only things that can be trusted. Nothing can be trusted blindly.

I pointed this out a few years ago when Jones magically got a book deal for a book noone wanted to read. Right about the time he decided not to run in the primary.
It's the exact same with all these weirdly rich book deals. No way their market research tells them it's worth that much advance.
