Fair, just don't throw "losing money from the stock market" in there. I've seen so many people sell in times like this but in reality you're not losing or gaining until you realize your position. Don't hurt your future self from something that will pass.Gas on my commute to work 30 miles away. Groceries food when you eat out, etc etc etc. Just a matter of time when the stock market will eat me up. Could have had more profit sharing where I work had we hired a lot more people to fill demand. Too many people not having to work. Effects a lot more than you would know. Some of the stuff, could go on but you see what I am talking about.
Also remember with inflation a way to combat it is through raising rates which is what the FOMC is going to do. This will slam the markets in the short to medium term but those upward inflationary pressures we're currently seeing, thanks to printing money in 2020 and supply chain issues, will subside.
Ideally gas prices will decrease during this bear market but with the war in Ukraine I don't know how severely it will impact crude prices around the world. You'd expect a negative result but hopefully this war doesn't last long, see Crimea.
