The Russians, even by deploying 75% of their military power on the Ukraine border still do not have anywhere near the military capability to control a population the size of Ukraine's 44 million people. Aside from that, the US response would be a well funded and supplied Ukraine resistance guerilla war making the Russian occupation very costly and bleed them. As a result Putin has only moved into Russian backed insurgent territory and will now shift into his own insurgency that will take some time to fully penetrate. He has calculated the US political campaign season will make the US sustaining economic sanctions on him very difficult to maintain as our appetite for high gas prices and inflation in the midst of Donald Trump harping on it every day throughout the campaign season will inevitably collapse under the weight of plunging poll numbers. This is precisely Putin's calculation and the Republicans are all set to play right into his hands.

We must respond by putting Mitt Romney out in front. A Mitt Romney nomination and subsequent win would be the death knell for Putin's designs and defeat him at his own game.

That was me the other day, I saw a video of a Trucker urging others not to convoy to DC, but instead just park their Trucks. His concern was they were setting themselves up just like the Canadian Truckers or like Jan. 6th.
Hopefully they come to their senses and realize its another trap they are walking into. Americans are going to have to wise up real quick to the chess game the elites are playing before it is too late (may already be).

Look around you and ask yourself how we can solve the Pandora's box we all find ourselves in? The Republicans clearly are out of their minds with the Trump idiocy which is politically suicidal, and yet on the other side the Democrats, drunk with demographic superiority even in traditional Republican strongholds, are immersed in their fringes as to hold their fringes means the Republicans are nationally obsolete. Hence the Republican march towards election fraud.

So how do we save ourselves or more importantly our country? Think about the genius of a MItt Romney victory in 2024? It effectively guts both the problems plaguing our two major political parties. It ends the Trump insanity and it eviscerates the Democratic faith in demographic superiority.

The scoop of ice cream on top is that it is literally Putin's worst nightmare. There is no person on earth (with only Hilary Clinton being a close second - please resist inevitable Clinton jokes) that Putin least wants to become US President than Mitt Romney.

The time for Romney is now. The sooner we all get on board then perhaps it will be in time to impact Putin's disastrous designs in Europe.
Democrats are set to literally lose 75+ seats, yet republicans are ‘nationally obsolete’?

And the GOP is seeing the biggest growth in registrations maybe ever. We are fine because more sane people are waking up to dem lunacy and their desire for government overreach.

I’d Worry about your own party…..like the rest of us are doing.

Overcoming the stupid that makes up the majority of the current Republican Party is going to be a daunting task. They're online now. They've figured out the electronics involved and are mobilized to affirm the stupid in each other. Nothing more formidable than stupid people in large numbers. PT Barnum figured that out a hundred years ago.

My mission will not be an easy one. I will have to figure out a way to outflank them. To transcend the stupid and somehow reach only the mildly stupid. Daunting, indeed.

Uh, yes. Your House seats are local not national elections, same for Senate races. Presidential elections, you know the ones the Republicans have lost the popular vote in for EVERY election except one since 1988, those are National elections.

I often wonder about how something comprised almost entirely of idiots can sustain itself but yet it somehow does.

This reminds me, has anyone seen the video of an autistic kid getting punched in the face by some punk in Lincoln county? The school has done nothing about it, per the autistic kid’s mother. I’ve seen more videos of kids beating another kid while teachers either do nothing or just stand there saying “hey…. Stop it.” It’s ridiculous and why I am trying to figure out a way to pull my kids from public schools as well.

What makes this all even worse are the schools and their focus on bullying… but when actual bullying takes place, they often ignore it.
That is pretty much the story of the kid from East Carter. Hard to believe that has been so long ago now and the sheer number of school massacres that have followed are staggering.

I hate to admit it, but EVERYTIME we relinquish our power (by electing Democratic Presidents) another country steps into that vacuum... almost as if there's a strong correlation lol.

I'm against involvement in foreign wars, but we sure could use a President who knows how to fight... without actually going to war.

You sure are the arrogant little moron. I think ignore list is best for you.

Time to make a stand and hopefully regain some sense of country. I'm as liberal as liberal gets and I am willing to vote against my own party to recognize how insane it has become and we need you folks to do the same against Trump/Mussolini who isn't going to win, anyway.

The Republicans are doomed nationally in Presidential elections by demographics which is what led my party to lose its mind, but I am willing to make that concession for the good of my country.

Mitt Romney has proven he has the character and vision necessary for this time and this place. Everything about him has prepared him for this moment. We all recognize that even if we don't want to admit it. Let's all set aside our differences for one election, elect the man history has called up to lead us, then after that we can all go back to being jackasses.
Romney's a lib. You're not voting against your own party. Nice try, fail.

Romney? Puh-leeeze. He had his chance and every single time Obama opened a door for him to make some political hay, he folded. Very weak candidate when running against Obama. What makes you think he'd galvanize enough votes to win? Far lefties will NEVER vote for a Republican, even one as wishy-washy as Romney. Hell, he's not even that popular in his own state and he's tainted with the smell of 'loser' when he had every opportunity to beat Obama. I hope Trump doesn't run again as he's too polarizing. But, another Repub candidate with many of Trump's policies would be fine with me. Certainly, Trump didn't have all the right answers but, by many metrics, the country was better off under him than only 14 months of Biden. You know it's bad when possibly the worst president in US history has the entire country praying that he'll last for 4 years because an even bigger moron and catastrophe-in-waiting sits in the VP chair.

If a self-proclaimed far left Democrat is trumpeting for Romney that's a huge red flag. Tells me that Romney is not really a Republican.

Slightly off topic but, with the exception of Iraq, why is it generally Democrat presidents who get us involved in a war? The 'adult' party of gun control, globalism, diversity, acceptance, etc. seems to habitually pull us into armed conflict.

I know I'm judging a book by its cover, but does anyone believe that the individual Biden has selected for the Nuclear Energy post (fluid gender, cross dressing, etc.) is anything other than a far left, anti-fossil fuel, anti-nuke kook? Do other countries look at what is going on with the administration and say, "WTF?"

Look at the last page of the thread. This wacko is trolling. A half dozen Romney posts - clearly designed to get a rise out of everybody and get attention on the troll. Just ignore.

for some reason this reminds me of stacey keech and his detective “gone rogue “
character in cheech and chongs (up in smoke?)

Well the results of the Republican Party playing footsie with Putin are unfolding all around us. Meanwhile, Joe Biden, the person I said should be considered unfit to run as President is showing why. Biden actually advocated in a final planning stage meeting with Obama and his team that we surrender if Pakistan attacks our insertion team when we killed Bin Laden. Of course Obama famously replied "hell no" to Biden, but Biden has been wrong on every foreign policy/military question he's ever been around.

Meanwhile both political parties are handicapped. The Republicans are operating as a Russian satellite state since Trump and have demonized their strongest anti-Russian Republican in Mitt Romney, meanwhile the Democrats went all in on racial politics because they fell in love with demographics instead of their core blue collar values and now are hijacked by 13% of the population leading them around by the nose with their incredibly short sighted pandering to the African American vote.

I've been a liberal Democrat my entire life. Always loathed everything about Republicans as I knew they were fake at their core with their family values manure and they actually remind me a lot of the way the University of North Carolina operates in their fake hypocritical make believe world, but at this point in time the country needs Mitt Romney to save us. Seriously, as a Democrat a Romney presidency would hopefully bring us back to being the Midwestern Blue Collar working class party and also jolt the Republican Party out of the Trump/Mussolini madness it has plunged headlong into where they have been manipulated into hating their own country and openly fawning over Vladimir Putin with disastrous results.

As someone who’s career has been in the Ed field and wife is a teacher, we absolutely need school choice. If you’re willing to drive your child to another school or another district in your state then they should be able to go there.
In total agreement.

I lived about 20-25 mins from the high school I attended (better school, better athletic success, and not as many fights). The rule back then was you could go anywhere to start high school but if you transferred, it had to be within your district.

People claiming to care about the kids yet be against school choice says a lot.

To me that’s what Trump’s election will inevitably lead to. I believe it would have been the slow drip method otherwise.

I told my dad after he got elected that short term it would be the best thing to happen and long term it will be the worst. Trump’s election caused the masks to fall off… that sped up all the BS.
Yeah, the hysteria you saw was probably out of frustration due to it pushing their shit back four years later.

These people are certified lunatics? Seriously, how can they get away with saying shit like that and still be treated as though they are a sane and rational individual?
Sounds like something @Platinumdrgn would spout off and actually believe.
They don't have to believe a word that comes out of their own mouth. With absolutely no moral fiber it is just a matter of being as incendiary as possible.

But the district receiving out-of-district kids shouldn't have to fund those ood kids. State or parents need to pay the local district's part. Also, they can't overcrowd the new district at the expense of the local kids.
They will still receive ADA Funding for those students. SEEK funding will bridge gaps between enrollment and property taxes if needed. Regardless of how many kids enter the district, there are caps set on students and class sizes at all grade levels. So if there are more students, they will have to add more teachers to accommodate them.

Sounding more and more like Putin isn't the evil constant bad guy, just like some of us said for awhile.

I really think it's china using proxies to try to destroy Russia, to eliminate one of the final powers where they can't get a foothold

Folks, the coming days will make it very clear we need to set aside our differences long enough to elect Mitt Romney as the next President. We can resume our normal madness later, but the time to unite around Mitt is upon us.
Flowery writing and a neophyte’s understanding of politics. What’s the point, just to get people to waste time reading it? Or is it a joke I’m not getting, maybe at Mittens’ expense? What a strange troll.
