Yep. No way this is explained by simple malfeasance or negligence. Intent is the only thing that makes sense.
Once you realize theyre intentionally doing this, it gets so much easier to make sense of the situation and predict what's next

Consumers and small businesses need to get their money out of the major banks and work with the lightly regulated credit unions.
Take yourself out of the game they are playing.
They will get to you eventually, but not as quickly as they will get to the behemoths.
Credit unions will continue to operate with less scrutiny for the time being, you will be able to get a loan easier, and your deposits are less likely to become digitized.
What is unfortunate is that the federal government has its hands in everything: The Treasury/OCC regulates national banks, The Fed regulates all the bank holding companies, the FDIC insures the deposits and provides some degree of regulation to all federal and state banks, the NCUA regulates the credit unions and insures their deposits, and the SEC regulates securities and influences how publicly traded companies are structured.
Government is great.

I'd like for posters here to weigh in on what they see this culminating into in the next year, five years, ten years from now. What do you think life for ordinary citizens will be like in those time frames? I have no clue where all this is ultimately headed, but quite frankly I'm scared.
I'm 52, have a job I love, own a modest home on a little over an acre in a rural community outside of Louisville. I just remarried last fall, my kids are all in their early 20's. My Step kids range in age from 16 to 23. I had hoped to work another 15 years or so and retire. I have some things in my job I want to accomplish that might help speed that timeframe up. But am I going to be able to? Is my livlihood going to be taken from me? Is my property going to be taken from me? are my investments going to tank and be gone to nothing? Will there be so many restrictions placed that travel becomes prohibitive?
Just curious on peoples takes on this?

they SHOULD have been buzzing with academic activity regarding the emergence of a novel coronavirus, the use of new technology w/MRNA genetic therapy shots - and the rapidly altered legal /governing methods that have emerged

I'm a bit older and hope to retire in 4 years with both my house and a rental paid in full. I'd be 63. No one is losing their property, how would that even happen other than imminent domain? Investments will be fine since the wealthy will make sure their asses are covered. Restrictions? I see them easing significantly. People are totally sick of this idiocy with covid, both left and right.
The only weird thing is using CNN to support anything other than womanizing, lying hypocrites.

Rural ones? Because that decrease can’t come from urban or suburban areas. Too partisan and counter indicated by the poll itself respectively. Maybe a result of increased rural covid deaths over the last two years as it penetrated deeper into the country? But why would those be blamed on Trump and not Biden when he’s in office and they already have that natural partisan inclination?
