This is one of the reasons I quit watching the nfl. Its one thing if its a player or 2 but they turn a blind eye to tons of felony behavior and even teach young players to keep fall guys around in case something bad happens. they know this kinda stuff happens and they don't care except that it might cost them money.

Are you OK with a DA charging you for a crime they know you are innocent of as a matter of law just because they want to wait until the trial to actually argue it?... which they never argued. They just stated they would argue it at the beginning which is why it wasn't dropped pre-trial. They never even argued it during the entire case. When it was dropped the prosecution didn't even argue that it was a short barrel rifle. They agreed it wasn't.

I was talking to a black man yesterday while filling up my pickup truck and he brought up the trial. He is convinced 3 black men were shot and killed by Rittenhouse. He actually called the young man Rittenberger. I corrected him on that but never could convince him no blacks were involved in the incident.
Read my posts from yesterday or the last five+ years and you'll know that answer.
Still doesn't change the fact it was a charge. Prosecutors don't have to argue anything until trial. It isn't like a civil case where you have to lay out a case in discovery to beat summary judgment. In criminal cases defendants get discovery but no depositions. So the first time any prosecutor substantively does anything is at trial unless a defendant attacks the case via motion. Then the discussion is limited to those items. Looks pretty certain the defense never raised it or it would be gone.
Not sure what outlets you all are following that's giving out some of this information but it's no more accurate than the other side. Sounds like they're just looking for clicks too

Yeah, teaching is just like surgery... what jackasses. This type will never not double down after it’s clear they’re wrong.
And btw, teaching in public schools post 2nd grade now consists of nothing more than preparing to take state tests that net the schools funding. It’s why some kids can’t write a complete sentence in 4th grade or don’t know how to subtract. We used to be taught “whatever works best for you” but now it’s “do it this way, because we said it’s the best way... now go do really good on this test!”
Of course most anyone could see this coming. Lockdown society, make police announce publicly they won't even show up for most crimes, let rioters loot while making police watch, refuse to prosecute most anyone except random white people, keep kids out of school and prevent social services from checking on them.
But ya...let's all act shocked when the homicide rate is astronomical especially amongst teens and carjackings went up like 400%. Overdoses are already killing more than guns and cars combined.
Lockdown....if it saves one life.
