Boy, it is not hard reading this thread why Trump carried Kentucky. Not a whole lot of critical thinking . . .

"The left and the media are Evil. Contemptible. Amoral."

"Obama divided this Country more than any President in history, and it's not even close. He preached blame whitey for 8 years. He preached that irresponsibility was fine, because it's someone else's fault. He hates America, he hates Capitolism, and most of all, he hates whites."

"On track minded snowflakes prove what we have known for a while now. They [i.e., Leftists/Libs] have no original thought process and only mimic what their leaders want them to say."

Sort of a broad brush you guys are painting with, don't you think?

P.S. If Obama hated Capitalism so much, I wonder why I made so GD much $ in the stock market while he was President . . . and lost my ass during the Bush years??

Quite the contrary. It took a great deal of high level critical thinking as well as courage to not only recognize our current political system and the politicians were leading our country in the wrong direction but to take the chance of doing something to change the system. We spoke. Those protesting now have no desire to see our country return to its position of strength.
What exactly do the likes of antifa, etc...stand for that would be good for our country? Likely some of that walk are well-meaning but obviously don't have the capability of recognizing consequences of their behaviors.
What exactly did obama accomplish that was good for our country? Name 1 thing that he accomplished that didn't have a negative consequence.

obama hated what America stood for (he apologized for us, remember?). He did not value America's preeminence. In fact, he wanted to lower us to the level of the rest of the world. He was/is a muslim apologist. He pitted minorities against police. Lied to us about his health care law, then strapped us with an unworkable, unaffordible system. The list goes on....Yet apparently he had loyal followers. Talk about the inability to think at a high level.

Great post.

I was beginning to think my wife and I were the only ones who made money in that time frame. In fact, we're still making money, and I didn't vote for Trump or Hillary, as both were disgusting candidates who had no business being in the White House.

Nothing about Kevs post was incorrect.

Did not vote for either one myself, for the same reasons. Hillary was a pathetic candidate for about 100 reasons (a socialist with zero money and zero name recognition damn near won the primaries!!), and Trump has fallen well below my extremely low hope/expectations for him. Even though he has appointed a handful of good people, like Mattis, Haley and Tillerson, he won't listen to a GD thing anyone tells him. It is amateur hour X 100 at the White House these days.

January 2021 cannot get here fast enough, surely 300 million people can elect someone better than those two?

have you been around to see the last 3 presidents? I'm not including Trump because he is only 7 months in. The pedophile rapist, W. and Barry. you actually think by 2021 the "establishment" will come up with something better?

"If you walk down the street and you meet an idiot, well, you just happened to meet an idiot. If you walk down the street and you meet nine "idiots", then you are the idiot nine people happened to meet." (Actually it was "ahole" in the original version.)

Don't tell Tskware or JDhoss this, their heads will explode.

My thoughts are that it is ok to lean to the left, and it's ok to lean to the right. When you get past that leaning stage either way, it's time to reevaluate your life and try to reel yourself back towards the center. If you're unwilling to do that, then just simply do all of humanity a favor and find another planet to live on.

I would post a reply to support you . . . but having SO much trouble cleaning off the screen, now that my head has exploded.

No argument but, I don't think the majority on here leaning right are going too far, just saying that the outrage against one group (deserved by the way) should be visited against all groups that push a similar agenda of hate. The " I understand why Trump won in Kentucky" was painting with the same broad brush indicated and not warranted imo.

The weird thing is, all these statues have been in place for a very long time, but just over a few years certain people have become offended? Now we are supposed to rid ourselves of history in order to please a group that will never be pleased....smh
The whole issue is being used by the soros types to further their agenda.
So we shouldn't change something if we become educated about it?

The actions of Mayor Jim Gray are bringing the alt-right to Lexington. Did you vote for this? I didn't. Now the neo-nazis and the KKK will be running around UK campus trying to recreate 1930's Germany. The lunatic alt-left will show up to make UK campus look like 1935 Berlin.

I hope the governor calls up the National Guard and tells them to keep the street vermin away by any means necessary. I hope the only way these clowns make it to UK is if they are brought to the emergency room at UK hospital
He's a commie and a ****** what else do you expect ?
Over/under on 25 broken windows at the big blue building?

I hope to see Mayor Grays punk ass down there keeping the peace.
Grays a commie.........what else would people expect him to do ?

Are you saying that you have no clue about American history and just found out there are statues all across the country about the civil war era? That's sad if true. Those weren't random people, everyone (maybe except for you and few others) have known exactly who those people were.

Something else, Kentucky's democratic government helped put those up. On one hand you have the dems all the sudden going nuts over crap they put up while so called conservatives want fight to keep liberal monuments up, it's madness. I'm willing to bet most of you don't even know what the hell your party even represents. It's become nothing more than a group of people trying their damnedest to make sure they disagree with anything the other group has to say. What's worse is that you are all gullible to today's media who (both sides) are creating and feeding this hate.

Terrible comparison, that fly has been there for a very long time and if you have had any schooling you should have talked about closing that fly for a while now if it bothered you. You did not know it bothered you until someone told you it did or it became chic.

Of course, many of those statues were erected in the era between 1880-1915, when lynching was in vogue, and Jim Crow reigned across the south, and only white men had any say so in government, but I suppose that is beside the point, at least in your view.

More to the point, why does every single issue have to be Democrat-Republican politics with you guys? How do you know how I or anyone else on this board is registered or votes? Probably many of us vote for candidates of either party. Just as one example, if I am for a balanced budget . . . but think the defense department ought to be whacked (along with a whole lot of entitlement programs) by a large % to get there, does that make me a lib, or a conservative?

The Mayor race in this town is non partisan, and if anyone thinks Gray is a commie, just get on Gray Construction's website, they are very prosperous and hard working commies if that is the case. [roll]

P.S. Not a Democrat, but do vote for them fairly often

As usual there are a few people who can discuss a topic intelligently with knowledge and effort to understand. Then there are the bulk of folk who make it very clear why it is no surprise the punk who ran down the folks in the street came from one of the dumbest states in the union.
First sentence lament how it is being discussed, second sentence generalize and insult a whole state. Great transition!

BTW, a guy from liberal Illinois went to a park a few weeks ago and tried to assassinate a dozen or so sitting congressmen. I am sure you think they deserved it.

Not to mention all the Left Coast attacks from Antifa. But hey, remember that one guy in Charlottesville is a Nazi. So ALL of the other left wing attacks are now null and void because of that.
