You've got to admit Cal is ballsy. His "could be his greatest recruiting class ever comment" has really set him up for a fall.
If he gets Giles, Monk, Fox, Bridges to go with SKJ, then I think it would be his best class ever, but he's probably not getting Giles. If he misses on Giles, but gets Monk, I think he could still end up with one of his best classes.
But that makes Monk a must-get recruit. Monk is about the only Top 5 recruit we have a shot at - and I think there is no way Cal can cobble together a great class (for him) if he doesnt land at least one Top 5 recruit.

Cal might have a different feeling about the class than we do. Just because the rankings of the individuals players aren't as high as some other classes doesn't mean it's not his "best ever." Maybe he likes how the players in this class "fit" into what he wants to do better than in previous classes. Maybe he likes their attitudes better. Maybe he likes how they potentially fit together. There's a lot more to it than rankings.
Besides, Cal probably could not care any less what the rankings say. Heck, half those recruiting gurus probably wait to see who Cal and other coaches are looking at before they even rank the players. If they were as good as they think they are, wouldn't they be on a staff somewhere coaching and making some real money?
Fox also is a top 5 recruit. He's already one on 247 and likely will be on other sites when they update they're rankings. Bridges is now in the running for top 10. If he were to land all 3, that will be one of his best classes regardless of who else he adds.
Really though? Missouri? OF COURSE he pulled away from that absolute dumpster fire. I HATE Kentucky (with respect), but only a total and complete basket case moron would choose Mizzou if they had an offer from UK.
AR may not be good right now, but show signs of life. Mizzou basketball is so bad it hurts your conference. Sorry about that.

But you guys were talking about Monk and Arkansas, and Arkansas isn't much better than Missouri at this point. Missouri isn't sending kids to the league, but at least Missouri isn't sending kids to the prison league.
