I put an imaginary line from Mcreary Co to Boyd Co and whats in it,, I put as in the mountains and rest I consider flat.. Those mounds like in morehead is just that,, lil ol mounds.. That line I'd put as Appalachian Ky.. I'm just used to taking a good hour or two to get up these hills here at home so when I get past Wolfe Co going towards Lexington,, that's all flat to me.. Got family in Vinton Co Ohio and they got those Morehead mounds that they consider mountains and talk about how rough it is climbing them,, lol.. Told em don't ever come to southeastern ky and try to climb our hills.. They'd die of a heart attack..
Billy D worked nicely coming in with KD/Westbrook in their prime and at each other's throats. Considering Billy D had 0 NBA chops and took on some big egos, it worked. Plus, he did fine when they rebuilt 4-5 years into his tenure as well.
I hope he doesn't go because if he does some of his players might go to teams we will have to face, and we don't need them getting any stronger.
I want Hurley to turn this down and the Lakers to target Cal next.
I actually sincerely doubt that and imagine the dumb enough list is actually the longer one.
Just be happy we have moved forward but out of something like 360 D1 teams, way more than half would be breaking their necks to have what we consider lackluster.

Cal couldn't handle the NBA when he was young and highly motivated to make a name for himself. So, there is zero chance that the Lakers want an old worn-out has-been coach who has been mailing it in for the past 7 years.
Cal is and will always be a victim of his own over-the-top hype machine (his mouth.) Basically, Cal's mouth is what sets fans' expectations higher than he can deliver. That will never change no matter where he coaches. So, mouth vs performance will always leave fans wanting.

I agree with the wife thing. Just like Hurley's wife is a northeast wife, so is Pitino's wife. Back when Pitino was making the decision to go from UK to the Celtics, his wife was the decision maker who made the final call to go to Boston. She never liked Kentucky and thought we were all hicks. She made that quite clear in an interview with the Lexington newspaper. She was stupid and basically said that she wanted to go back up north. (She made frequent trips back up north all the time.) When the article came out, fans obviously took offense to it and there were so many letters to the editor that they couldn't print them all. I think Pitino has always regretted making that decision. Anyway, Joanne was a b--ch, and fans offered to help her move, but Rick had to stay here...lol!!!🤣🤣🤣She was a real piece of work.
UConn's not going to 3 peat, he should go if that's what he thinks. Preseason top 3 ranking is way too high, if not for the last two seasons they'd be a borderline top 20-25 team. They looked much better on paper the last two seasons they won the title.

, but I think he is mistaken in thinking this is like the other offers. If it was he would have shot them down by now. The fact that he publicly told his team and is meeting the Lakers face to face shows that he is sincerely taking this offer.
I believe and he’s said a NBA coaching job is his end goal of his career. He obviously wants the Knicks or Nets, but the Lakers job is too good to turn down. If he’s a success he will be an NBA coach until he retires. He may use this to springboard into the Knicks job if they can’t get over the hump with Thibs. If he stinks like most college coaches end up doing then he will be able to land at any college job with an opening and I’d guarantee UCONN will fire whoever they had to get him back as well.
Yup. The fact that the wife is clearly on board says it all. I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t take it as he shuts things down fast so as not to make his job at UCON harder. He’s lost the confidence of a lot of UCONN people by making that plane trip. He’s gone.

I am with you. I don't get why people like Lunardi have them as a preseason 1 seed (yes I know it means nothing this time of year) over teams like Iowa St, Gonzaga and Bama who return a lot of key players and also add key pieces. Outside of Karaban they return nobody who averaged more than 6 PPG last year and are getting Mahaney 14 PPG in the portal and McNeely from HS as the only potential big contributors.
Think of the huge bullet UK dodged when Hurley turned UK down. Could you imagine him signing 10+ players in that last 6 weeks then taking the Lakers job and leaving UK. That would have sucked!!!
Well he would have signed them and the we would have grabbed Pope so I don't know. But very glad we have Pope and I've said that since before we hired him.
Just not a lot of great coaches to go around. Would help us if they got either Pearl or Kelcey.
